40 Days for Life to Visit 50 States in Fall 2016 ‘United’ Tour

As it celebrates 10 years and nearly 12,000 babies rescued from abortion through peaceful prayer and vigil campaigning, 40 Days for Life is set to make a major splash this fall with its “United” promotion. Kicking off Sept. 27 with a rally on the steps of the Supreme Court building, where abortion on-demand was legalized in the U.S. with the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, the campaign is scheduled to host rallies in all 50 states between Sept. 28 and Nov. 6. The tour, believed to be the first of its kind, is being promoted in partnership with national pro-life organizations including March for Life, Students for Life of America, the Susan B. Anthony List, Pro-Life Future, Heartbeat International, and the Silent No More Awareness campaign, which gives post-abortive women and men a platform to share their stories. “This is the one front in our current cultural struggles where we are seeing victory after resounding victory,” 40 Days for Life CEO David Bereit said in a promotional video announcing United’s launch. “Abortion centers are closing at record rates. Abortion workers are having conversions and leaving their jobs. Lives are being saved. The tide is finally beginning to turn.” Bereit and the organization’s current president, Shawn Carney, co-founded 40 Days for Life in 2007 after organizing prayer and fasting vigils in response to a large Planned Parenthood abortion clinic near the campus of Texas A&M. The original clinic, which was aborting 6,400 babies each year, closed in 2013 and is now the headquarters of 40 Days for Life and the site of a life-affirming pregnancy medical clinic that provides...

Safe Haven Laws: Because Babies Deserve Love – Not Dumpsters

http://safehaven.tv/ This spring, a little girl in Ohio should have celebrated her first birthday. There was no party, though. Why not? Well, she wasn’t put in a hospital nursery after she was born. She was put in a plastic bag. Emile Weaver received a life sentence last month for the murder of her newborn. Weaver gave birth in a sorority house at Muskingum University, and then placed her daughter in a garbage bag. The story isn’t unique, as babies regularly turn up in trash bags, and dumpsters. Many don’t survive. It is a little surreal, though: while Weaver is going to prison for killing her newborn in Ohio, New Mexico’s Southwestern Women’s Options will perform late-term abortions for women who didn’t realize how far along they were. And under state law, abortion is legal right up until birth. But there’s another adjective for this tragedy: preventable. Across the country, Baby Safe Haven Laws offer safe places where an infant can be brought–with no questions asked. Some states require that a baby be taken to a hospital, but most also designate police and fire stations as safe havens, too. The group Baby Safe Haven has created an interactive map that provides a summary of the specific rules in each jurisdiction — http://safehaven.tv/states/ Information is available toll-free at 1-888-510-BABY (2229), and http://safehaven.tv/ Baby Safe Haven laws and location Find your local Baby Safe Haven Every baby deserves a pair of loving arms, and given the number of couples hoping to adopt, a lot of arms are waiting. Supreme Court of the U.S. Rules Against Abortion Business Regulations

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) struck down a Texas law (H.B.2) that sought to protect women’s health by requiring abortion clinics follow minimum standards for ambulatory surgical centers and that abortionists have surgical privileges at a hospital within 30 minutes of the abortion clinic. In a 5-3 decision, SCOTUS decided in Whole Woman’s Health V. Hellerstedt that the Texas law posed “[u]nnecessary health regulations that have the purpose or effect of presenting a substantial obstacle to a woman seeking an abortion impose an undue burden on the right”. The case was filed by an abortion business operating in Texas. In his dissenting opinion, Justice Alito, with Chief Justice Roberts concurring, expressed disbelief that the five justices opposed sections of H.B. 2 that imposed reasonable safety measures on abortion sites. Justice Alito wrote, “Provisions that are indisputably constitutional–for example, provisions that require facilities performing abortions to follow basic fire safety measures–are stricken from the books. There is no possible justification for this collateral damage. The Court’s patent refusal to apply well-established law in a neutral way is indefensible and will undermine public confidence in the Court as a fair and neutral arbiter.” Justice Thomas in a separate dissent quoted the late Justice Scalia on the pro-abortion leaning of the Court, “Today the Court strikes down two state statutory provisions in all of their applications, at the behest of abortion clinics and doctors. That decision exemplifies the Court’s troubling tendency “to bend the rules when any effort to limit abortion, or even to speak in opposition to abortion, is at issue.” Stenberg v. Carhart, 530 U. S. 914,...

Eliminating the Problems that Drive Women to Abortion

The first-ever Pro-Life Women’s Conference took place in June 2016 in Dallas. We need to understand how far we must go — and what we must do — to achieve success by 2020. The Guttmacher Institute’s new report reveals things have gotten worse over the last eight years for the most vulnerable. Among women who are seeking abortions: — 75% are the poor and working poor, — 66% are pursuing post-secondary degrees (which could lift them out of poverty), — 59% are already mothers. Women deserve better! As we count down to the 2020 Centennial Celebration of the 19th Amendment, help us fulfill the unrealized dream of Susan B. Anthony and other first wave feminists by systematically eliminating the root causes** that drive women to abortion in three key areas: 1. Education 2. Workplace 3. Paternal support Abortion IS a reflection that we have not met the needs of women. Help us end the feminization of poverty that drives women to abortion. Help MAKE WOMEN’S HISTORY. But first, here’s a lesson from history. Susan B. Anthony, the Quaker teacher turned suffrage leader, owned The Revolution. Her newspaper went bankrupt when she and co-editor Elizabeth Cady Stanton depended on one donor. After they passed away, Alice Paul assumed the leadership. She knew that approaching donors was key to success. Fourteen years after Anthony died, Paul successfully led the suffrage movement to achieve the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed all women in the United States the right to vote and soon after wrote the original Equal Rights Amendment. When the ’70s women’s movement embraced abortion, Paul called it the “ultimate in the...

Oklahoma’s Fetal Education Bill: a Model for the Pro-Life Movement’s Future

Among the various pro-life bills introduced at the state level, Oklahoma’s recent plan to start teaching fetal development in public schools deserves far more attention than it’s gotten so far. Banning certain abortion procedures, regulating abortionists, defunding Planned Parenthood, etc., are all important for their own sake; but each of them, and the long-term goal of ending abortion for good, are ultimately too dependent on public opinion changing on its own. Although America is opposed to abortion on balance (meaning pro-life politicians needn’t fear being more pro-active about it), self-identification as “pro-life” and “pro-choice” still fluctuates back and forth too often, without signs of a lasting, long-term spike on the horizon. We cannot simply wait for the public to decide on its own to end abortion. Education and outreach efforts from pro-life activists are valuable, but can only go so far. The key is to reach the assumptions of people, particularly future generations, who don’t already agree with, aren’t on course to cross paths with us on their own, and aren’t interested enough in abortion to proactively research it for themselves. Oklahoma has the key. Their education bill is a model for what should be one of the top state-level legislative priorities of every pro-life organization in the country. Think about it: simply requiring public schools to clearly educate students on clear, objective, undeniable facts of human biology, which are a bedrock part of one of the core subjects, should be one of the easiest sells in the world for any halfway-competent politician. Religious indoctrination? No, this is basic science. What about rape cases or Planned Parenthood? We’re just...

How Ultrasounds are Shaping Women’s Views on Abortion: Commentary

“Can’t choose abortion now.” Those were the words written on a feedback form after a young woman had a no-cost ultrasound at our pregnancy center. She came into the center undecided, but the pictures of her preborn child on the screen helped her make the decision to parent. I recently spoke to a woman who had an ultrasound at her OB/GYN, but struggled to view the images. She is pregnant with 13-week twins, and after the ultrasound, she scheduled to abort them. She couldn’t go through with it, though, so she skipped her appointment and came to our pregnancy center instead. The question of whether or not ultrasounds make a difference to women considering abortion and how they influence the world’s view of preborn life is the subject of a recent Cosmopolitan article. Writer Mattie Kahn asks the question, “Are ultrasound photos affecting abortion rates?” The article is a response to statements made by Ashley McGuire, a senior fellow at the Catholic Association. In an op-ed for USA Today titled, “The Ultrasound Generation,” McGuire made the claim that the pro-life movement is growing younger and stronger in thanks to an increase in ultrasound imagery and widespread social media. I would answer Kahn’s question by sharing some encouraging statistics. CareNet is a non-profit network that has 1,100 pregnancy centers in rural and urban areas. In their most recent report, they stated that in the last seven years, CareNet centers provided 698,649 ultrasounds – free of cost to women in need – and have a recorded number of 388,691 saved preborn lives. Since providing ultrasounds is one of CareNet’s most popular...

Indiana Installs Nation’s First Baby Drop Boxes to Save Abandoned Newborns

Monica Kelsey is a volunteer firefighter in Indiana. But she’s also a person who was conceived in rape, and has started a nonprofit group to help save babies who might otherwise be abandoned or killed. Monica’s organization, Safe Haven Baby Boxes, raises funds to install “padded and climate controlled” boxes in various locations, and has recently installed two in Indiana. When a baby is placed inside, according to NBC News, “a call is immediately placed to 911, and fire and medical personnel are dispatched to the scene.” The door locks and there is a motion sensor inside. The baby is retrieved by emergency responders, taken to a hospital for examination, and then placed into the custody of child protective services. All 50 states have passed Safe Haven laws, allowing mothers to anonymously surrender their children – but so many desperate women are still unaware that they have this life-affirming option. NBC News notes that since Kelsey’s organization placed the two new baby boxes in Indiana, she’s received “dozens of calls”… Kelsey said her team received 95 calls on Wednesday, one of which resulted in a “safe surrender” in another state. The woman was inquiring about safe haven boxes in another state, she said, and hotline volunteers found the woman the nearest hospital where she could surrender her baby safely. Kelsey would not identify the state, citing confidentiality. “Of the 95 yesterday, we had one save,” she said. “That’s a win.” The Knights of Columbus organization has pledged to build 100 baby boxes throughout Indiana at a cost of $2000 each. The idea of baby boxes received even more publicity...

Moms Post Photos of Their Premature Babies to Expose How Abortion is Legal Till Birth in Most States

Two moms of premature babies are making a huge impact for life on Facebook. The moms, Ashley C. and Whitney S., posted similar messages online in April to raise awareness about late-term abortions and the radical abortion positions of the two Democratic presidential candidates. Since then, tens of thousands of people have shared and viewed their posts online....

Abortion Is Not Safer Than Giving Birth / Abortion-Maternal Death Record Linkage Analysis

In an attempt to prove abortion safer than childbirth, Vox compares two data points from the Centers for Disease Control that the CDC itself has said are not comparable. It’s understandable that pro-abortion advocates were eager to circulate a Vox video purporting to prove the safety of abortion last week [late April 2016]. After all, yet another abortion business was making headlines for unsanitary conditions and harm to patients, drawing attention to the need for enforcing the health and safety laws abortion proponents bitterly fight. But the attempted defense of abortion Vox’s Liz Plank offered may actually be worse than her attempt at humor with a “Knock, knock. Who’s there? Abortion” joke. Notably, before repeating the discredited myth that “abortion is safer than childbirth,” Plank admits a profound truth that abortion advocates generally avoid. By prefacing her arguments with the statement “if you only look at the safety of the mother,” she tacitly recognizes that abortion concerns the safety of two human beings. Abortion is always unsafe for the baby. (You know, that whole “crushing of body parts” that Plank displays annoyance over pro-lifers being “particularly vocal” about lately.) After acknowledging that pregnant women are, in fact, mothers, Plank alleges “abortion is actually safer than childbirth” by comparing two data points from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that the CDC itself has said are not comparable. Maternal mortality and abortion mortality “measures are conceptually different and are used by CDC for different health purposes.” In other words, Plank peddles apples-to-oranges numbers as the basis of her claim. Abortion Is Much Riskier Than Birth Contrary to Plank’s attempt to...

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal Signs Bill to Fund Pregnancy Support Services to Help Women and Save Babies From Abortion

Georgia Life Alliance Committee (GLAC) proudly attended the signing of Senate Bill 308 today. S.B. 308 establishes the Positive Alternatives for Pregnancy and Parenting Grant Program. GLAC praises and thanks Senator Renee Unterman for championing this exciting and positive approach to saving the unborn. The grant will provide funding for pregnancy support services throughout the state and which are offered for no charge by non-profits committed to helping women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. “Positive Alternatives is a proven program in approximately 8 to 10 states across the country. This grant program helps to expand the established success of our non-profit Pregnancy Resource Centers which have existed for over forty years and which give women free care and support as they face unplanned pregnancies” said GLA Executive Director Emily Matson. “By creating this grant program, we are offering Georgia’s women true and genuine support as they make choices regarding their unborn babies. Our and Pregnancy Resource Centers and Pregnancy Medical Clinics provide the perfect alternative to the profit-motivated abortion clinics where our women are solely a number and a payment.” Senate Bill 308 received impressive support through the 2016 General Assembly, having been made a priority by the Senate Republican Caucus and passing both chambers by a wide margin. In addition, the 2017 budget provides an initial funding of $2 million. Georgia has approximately 70 Pregnancy Resource Centers which may apply for the grant and which provide care and support for over 25,000 women each year. Some Major Victories Exposing Abortion in 2015

In January, 2015, for the first time since 2006, a pro-life Senate majority was sworn into office after hard-fought victories in the 2014 elections. In addition to defending pro-life seats, the following either ousted a pro-abortion incumbent or flipped an open seat that had previously been in pro-abortion hands: : Sens. Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Cory Gardner of Colorado, Joni Ernst of Iowa, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Steve Daines of Montana, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Mike Rounds of South Dakota, and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia. All of these freshman senators currently hold a 100% voting record with National Right to Life. Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act passed House, got first-ever Senate vote. Sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona, the historic pro-life bill to protect unborn babies capable of feeling pain at 20 weeks and older passed in the U.S. House of Representatives on May 13, 2015 by a vote of 242-184 (with 1 present and 5 not voting). Prior to 2015, when pro-abortion Sen. Harry Reid held the majority leader post, the bill was never even considered in the Senate. On September 22, 2015, 54 senators voted to advance the bill, including 3 Democrats, while 42 voted against. Unfortunately, pro-life lawmakers fell short of the 60 votes required to invoke cloture and advance the bill.   Dismemberment Abortion Ban enacted in 2 states, introduced in Congress. An innovative new bill, based on model legislation drafted by National Right to Life, was signed into law in Kansas and Oklahoma. The law protects unborn babies from a gruesome abortion method that involves tearing...

Historic City of Selma Finally Abortion Free; Illegal Abortion Site Shuts Down

The unlicensed Central Alabama Women’s Clinic, in Selma, Alabama, has changed its name and no longer does abortions after pro-life groups caught it illegally operating as an abortion shop and exerted public pressure calling for its closure. In 2014, Fr. Terry Gensemer of CEC For Life uncovered an illegal abortion clinic in Selma, Alabama, and began efforts to stop the appalling operation. Now, the coalition of pro-life organizations that developed around those efforts has confirmed that Dr. Samuel Lett is no longer performing abortions in the city of Selma. The Central Alabama Women’s Clinic, formerly used as Lett’s back-alley abortion clinic, is now operating as a weight-loss facility. Life Legal provided overwhelming evidence of the shop’s illegal practices to the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners. Pro-life leaders from CEC For Life, Operation Rescue, Life Legal Defense Foundation, The National Black Prolife Coalition and Created Equal have been building public awareness around this illegal clinic for nearly two years. Aside from several public campaigns and a historic march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge with Alveda King, Charmaine Yoest and Star Parker, these same organizations have continued to call for state authorities to take action and prevent Lett from becoming the next Gosnell. Fr. Terry Gensemer, Director of CEC For Life, comments, “We are thankful that Dr. Lett has ceased abortions in Selma, as we know that this same kind of under-the-radar, illegal activity led to the horrors we saw in Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia clinic.” Gensemer also reports that, though Lett has ceased abortions, the coalition is still in communication with state officials regarding...

Planned Parenthood’s December 2015 Report

In the past year, Planned Parenthood’s health services for women SPIRALED DOWNWARD by 11% in one year. Private support for the abortion monster PLUNGED by $38.3 million. PP significantly INCREASED its facilities that commit medication abortions in a desperate attempt to stabilize its abortion numbers. But our government INCREASED funding for PP by ANOTHER $25.3 million. In a press release issued yesterday, ALL’s Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP) program reported that the number of patients at PP centers dropped to the lowest annual number reported by PP since 1998. Most important, however, is STOPP’s unique effectiveness in forcing the closing of PP facilities. ALL Vice President Jim Sedlak states: “What this Planned Parenthood Annual Report shows is that, despite the inaction on taxpayer funding at the federal level, the foes of Planned Parenthood are having a significant effect on PP by closing down clinics all across the country. STOPP will continue to work with local people to peacefully and prayerfully cause such discontent with Planned Parenthood at the grassroots level that it will have no choice but to close its doors forever.” As a result, the number of abortions committed by PP has declined to the lowest since 2007. Support the EFFECTIVE, GRASSROOTS, LOCAL efforts of STOPP and ALL that isolate individual PP facilities and overwhelm them with local opposition. [29 Dec 2015, ALL email,...

REPORT: 160K Children Rescued from Abortion Are Celebrating Their First Christmas

A group of children a year old and younger matching the size of cities like Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Tempe, Ariz., are celebrating their first Christmas, in 2015, thanks to the work of local staff and volunteers at pro-life pregnancy centers, according to statistics released by Heartbeat International. The numbers, published in the first-annual Life Trends Report, draw only from Heartbeat International’s 1,300 locations in the U.S., but point to 160,000 lives rescued from the threat of abortion in 2015 alone. Overall, there are 2,500+ life-affirming pregnancy help centers and medical clinics in the U.S., including those who affiliate with Heartbeat International, Care Net, National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA), Life Matters Worldwide and local organizations who do not affiliate with broader networks. Adding in the number of mothers who have chosen life for their babies in 2015 at pregnancy centers and medically licensed pregnancy clinics not affiliated with Heartbeat International, the number of lives saved would jump to 300,000—the size of Pittsburgh or Cincinnati. WATCH: Powerful Pro-Life Messages From 8 Members of Congress Investigating Planned Parenthood

Now that the House and Senate have passed a bill to defund Planned Parenthood, all eyes are on President Obama. Will he bolster his pro-abortion record by vetoing this legislation supported by a majority of Americans? Even if a presidential veto is forthcoming, it will not be the end. Congress has been ramping up its investigation into the ethics and legality of major abortion industry corporations—Planned Parenthood foremost among them—through the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives. Planned Parenthood protest Nearly 100,000 Americans protested at Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide this summer (Photo via ProtestPP.com) “We are charged with gathering information and conducting fact-finding to get answers,” stated Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), who recently named pro-life stalwart March Bell as Staff Director of this select committee. Blackburn leads the investigative panel of pro-life members—four women and four men—joined by six pro-choice members of Congress. “We will follow the law, find the facts and focus on where those facts take us in defense of life,” she concludes. Formed after the release of the Center for Medical Progress undercover videos, now the panel’s eight pro-life members speak up for the sanctity of every life in brief video messages. Rep. Marsha Blackburn Upholds Medical Ethics in a Culture of Convenience Mother of two and grandmother of two, Rep. Marsha Blackburn has strong support in her home state of Tennessee—and in Washington has been known for her effective role on several committees, notably related to ensuring quality health care for those in need. “Science shows us these are not blobs of tissue; they are babies,” Blackburn said of pre-born lives in a recent House...

Pro-Abortionists Lament that PCCs (Pregnancy Care Centers) Occupy Former Abortion Sites

A tip of the hat to a friend who sent me a link to a story that appeared in USA Today on November 15: “Pregnancy centers spread in Texas as abortion clinics close,” by Rick Jervus. As you can readily imagine, this annoys pro-abortionists to no end. Bad enough that some abortion clinics–you know, the places where babies get torn apart, piece by piece–close. But to add insult to injury (from the anti-life perspective), those wretched pro-lifers are replacing death with life! The focus for Jervus’ story is the Hope Pregnancy Center in College Station, Texas. But that’s just because Texas has been particularly aggressive in ensuring that abortionists–many of whom fly in a couple of days a month–have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the abortion business, and that abortion sites meet the standards of ambulatory surgical centers. Jervus’ bigger point is that Texas represents something larger than making minimal requirements of abortion places. “[S]tate funding for pregnancy centers and other services in the Texas Alternative to Abortion Services Program has nearly quadrupled, from $2.5 million in 2008 to $9.15 this year, according to the [Texas Health and Human Services] commission.” There are at least eight other states, “including Missouri, Montana and North Carolina,” Jervus warns, who have sought funding this year for so-called “crisis pregnancy centers,” said Elizabeth Nash of the New York-based Guttmacher Institute, a policy and research center that advocates reproductive health rights for women. At $9.15 million annually, Texas spends far more for the centers than any other state, she said.  [ed. add Ohio to the list, providing $1 Million this...

Abortion Pill Reversal Program

Our latest video describing the phenomenal growth of the APR program is linked below. As of November 2015, 140 healthy babies have been born to women who have sought to reverse the abortion pill. Another 75 are pregnant after successful reversals. The APR video not only explains the medical background of our project, but also features one of the joyful mothers whose life was turned around as a result of our protocol. We currently have over 300 doctors who have committed to provide medical support to women who have changed their minds. It is our ultimate goal to have at least one network doctor within a 45 minute drive of every abortion clinic in this country. I also encourage you to pass this video on to colleagues, co-workers, friends, family, and anyone else you think might benefit from it. Visit our web site, www.abortionpillreversal.com The links to our two videos are as follows: Long Version – https://youtu.be/i7yrusZ–BI? Short Version – https://youtu.be/MeIEyPNGsTw? I want to personally think you for your willingness to play a vital role in the life-saving mission of the APR program. Those of you who have been fortunate to have been involved in saving the life of an unborn baby can especially understand the special joy of a mother who has been given a second chance. It may not be too late to save a life. Ten (10) Women Who Decided to Stop or Reverse Their Abortion

Women are often pressured into abortion, or decide to go through with one because they feel they have no other choice. But sometimes, at the last moment, women find their own strength, change their mind about the abortion, and choose life. Abortion reversal is possible. Ashley At 20 years old, Ashley discovered she was pregnant, but the boyfriend who convinced her to have sex with him by promising to take care of her and a baby if she did become pregnant, handed her money for an abortion and sent her off to get her abortion alone. After taking the first dose of the abortion pill, Ashley regretted it and asked the abortionist what would happen if she didn’t take the second pill. She was told that the baby would die anyway, but if the baby somehow survived, he or she would be deformed… Ashley turned to her mother, telling her about the pregnancy and the abortion and her remorse. Her mother called a local crisis pregnancy center, and that center called Dr. Matt Harrison. Harrison had no idea what to do, but told them to come to his office. After flipping through textbooks, he had the idea of injecting Ashley with progesterone, to try to “out-compete” with the RU-486 which he says acts as a progesterone counterfeit and tricks the body into acting as if the pregnant woman is having a menstrual cycle, starving the placenta and the baby. There were risks to both Ashley and the baby as this had never been done before, but Ashley knew she had to try it. It worked, and Ashley gave birth...

Actress Kristin Chenoweth: “Adoption is a Full-Circle Blessing”

Actress Kristin Chenoweth, known for her roles on stage and screen, is speaking out in honor of National Adoption Day. Chenoweth, who was adopted as a newborn, says that while she is not overly curious about her birth parents, she is grateful to her birth mother for giving her a chance at life and grateful to her adoptive parents, who told her very early on, “We chose you.” Adoption girl child People.com shares the text of Chenoweth’s writings in honor of the day: I’ve always known that I was adopted. It was never a secret or held from me. I knew that my birth mother loved me so much that she wanted to give me a better life. And my parents, Jerry and Junie Chenoweth, were looking to adopt a baby and found me – literally less than one week after I was born. Growing up, my parents explained my adoption by telling me, “We chose you.” It was a wonderful way to put it to an adopted child. And I think it’s true. An adoption is a full-circle blessing. Chenoweth explains how she views the birth mother’s choice to place her child for adoption as a “sacrifice,” a “blessing,” and a “gift”: First of all, it’s a blessing (and a huge sacrifice) for a birth parent to make the decision to give his/her baby a better life. Sometimes people can’t take care of that baby just yet. (And their circumstances might change in 15 years.) But what a gift they are giving to both that child and the family who wants to adopt. Chenoweth says adopted children should...
