January is the perfect time to consider precious life in the womb. Images of the Christmas story are fresh in our memory. Our souls are still impacted by the incredible irony of the King of Kings entering our world as a terribly vulnerable embryo in the womb of a virgin. He laid aside his glory and his power and took up unseen residence in the darkness of the womb of an unwed mother in a culture that stoned women who were discovered to be pregnant before marriage. It seems a little odd to celebrate an organization whose birth was a response to error in the church. But it is right to celebrate the faithfulness of God and a multitude of steadfast witnesses. Read more.

Standing for life issues is not isolated to opposing abortion. To respect human life is to respect all human life regardless of age, race, religion, development level, environment, or ability to function in society. Too often, we consider those with mental or physical disabilities or deformities as non-essential to the life of the church. Read More
