  • Advance Directives: Living Wills/Durable Power of Attorney  ( 8 items )

Advanced Directives provide the written directions of an individual for his/her family and health care professionals prior to the need for such directives.

Livings Wills and Durable Power of Attorney For Health Care Decisions are not equal options.

Make sure you know what they will actually do in the event that a crisis situation occurs.

  • Palliative Care / Pain Management  ( 4 items )
  • Declarations on Life  ( 4 items )
  • End of Life Care/Issues  ( 14 items )

Over the last few years, there has been growing concern about the care of the elderly and of those who are terminally ill.

Certainly, the forced starvation/dehydration death of Terri Schiavo, a disabled woman who only needed a feeding tube for food and water, has heightened concern about these issues.

This section will attempt to provide some suggestions to those who are facing such difficult issues...

Lives considered by some to be "imperfect" and "burdensome" may not be here on earth for themselves, as much as they are here for us, the care-givers.

As care-givers, we may actually be the ones who benefit from these lives, as we learn to care for others, and to put their welfare before our own...

If people contemplate and really see the Sanctity of Life, their "quality of life" arguments fall away and they will understand that we are here to Care for each other, not to kill each other.

Caring, and not convenience, is the sign of a civilized and just society...
