“One cannot teach abstinence and chastity to the youth and then hand out a condom or put the child on birth control and expect the abstinence message to be taken seriously. Instead, as medical providers, we need to speak of the beauty of chastity and waiting for sex within marriage which is the most sound advice for their overall psychological, spiritual and medical well-being. What the teens then do with the information affords them some responsibility for their own actions.” --Maria Meyers, M.D.
International Resources for Life Issues
AID TO LATIN AMERICAN WOMEN NETWORK is an international pregnancy center network which met first in 3/07, with directors from Mexico and 15 Latin American nations. The national network presently in existence in Mexico was established after its founder Jorge Serrano attended a Human Life Int’l bilingual conference; this network has already been successful in saving over 50,000 babies/their moms from abortion. So now, this very effective force will unite pregnancy centers throughout Latin America to provide training, materials, and funding to those centers already in existence. The first pregnancy center formed through this int’l network was in Venezuela in 12/03; now there are centers in Ecuador, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Peru.
