Uganda: Students Advised To Abstain From Sex PDF Print E-mail

The Minister of Education/Sports, Prof. Edward Khidu Makubuya, has urged students to abstain from sex and be patient. "Sex won't go away, so don't rush to get there," he said. He said many young people including new university graduates have died of AIDS, and reminded the students that there is no immunization against the disease. "You know where AIDS come from. Why can't you avoid it?" he asked. [HIV Update International, 11/14/01; Africa News, 11/12/01]
