Quotes to Note

There were 43,158 new cases of HIV reported in 2001 in the U.S.

The number of cases is rising.

In 2000, there were 40,000 new cases.

Exactly 50% (half) of all these new cases of HIV in 2000 were among 15-24 year-olds.

New strains of HIV are appearing, and the medications presently being used are not as effective over time.

Imagine a petite, blond-haired little girl running across a playground yelling: "Watch me, Mommy!", as she heads for the swing set. Her blue eyes light up and she smiles from ear to ear as she swings higher and higher.

That's my little girl!

My husband and I adopted her when she was six weeks old and we immediately fell in love. Her laughter, energy and love for life have changed our world completely.

When I hear her little voice say, "I love you, Mommy!", I am so grateful for her precious life.

Every baby should have the chance to grow and laugh and play and be loved just like our sweet daughter. She has truly found her own special place in our hearts and in this world.
