Quotes to Note

Of the estimated 18.9 million new STD cases in the USA in 2000, 9.1 million (48 percent - almost half) were among 15- to 24-year-olds. [CDC]

The cost to treat (not necessarily cure) newly-acquired STDs among this age group each year is estimated at $6.5 Billion.

NARAL (pro-abortion) Bemoans Lack of Women Voters (Fall 2004) PDF Print E-mail

NARAL (pro-abortion) mailed voter registration forms to constituents to get them to vote, complaining that millions of women did not vote in 2000.

There are many “who did not cast their ballots…because they were aborted long before they reached voting age. According to the Alan Guttmacher Inst, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, 19,100,600 surgical abortions were reported from 1973-1986. The US Census Bureau records that 50.9% of births are female. This gives a total of 9,772,205 women, 18 years and older, who will never have an opportunity to cast a vote.

Perhaps NARAL would like to explain to their mailing list the reality of the impact that abortion has had on the number of women voters. ‘Choice’ becomes a hollow word when faced with such data.” [Jo Tolck, HLA Action News, Fall 2004]
