Despite setbacks along the way, pro-lifers refused to give up on an Oklahoma ultrasound bill.
This week, their persistence was rewarded. Members of the state legislature banded together and overrode the veto of Gov. Brad Henry (D) to enact a law that requires doctors to perform an ultrasound so that mothers can see their unborn babies at least an hour before their scheduled abortion.
Thanks to the courage of these leaders, Oklahoma now joins 12 other states in helping to better inform women about the innocent life they carry.
