Putting current data into historical perspective
 
The year 2004 was the last full year of Gloria Feldt’s reign as president of PPFA. Her first full year was in 1997. Let’s look at what PP did last year and compare it with the first seven years of Feldt’s residence.

The number of abortions committed by PP rose from 244,628 in 2003 to 255,015 in 2004. This was a 4.2% increase. This was the eighth straight year of increased abortions under Feldt.

Gloria Feldt, as director, accumulated the deaths of 1,656,844 babies during her eight years as president of PPFA.

The total number of babies who have died at Planned Parenthood facilities since PP first began doing abortions on July 2, 1970 has now reached 3,803,806:  3.8 million human lives terminated by PP.

Planned Parenthood is responsible for 8% of all the estimated abortions performed in the United States since the 1973 Supreme Court Roe decision. More significantly, Planned Parenthood performed 19.8% (almost 1 of 5) of all abortions in the United States in 2004. This percentage has been increasing every year:
