Marrying Bozos

Author Jackie Kendall warned mothers to be vigilant about the boys their daughters date, in a breakout session at the .Mom conference sponsored by LifeWay Women in Birmingham, AL.

Jackie Kendall, author and speaker, reminds moms to not let their daughters marry a bozo.

A great quote from her talk, "The greatest abuse is letting your daughter grow up thinking the world revolves around her." Isn't that the truth? I think we can all come up with examples of women we know like that. Parents beware of older boys trying to date your daughter – that's a red flag.

She reminds moms to have open communication with their daughters.

She stated, "What's worse than waiting? Wishing you had."

Please be sure to check out her book, Lady in Waiting, from our online store.
Straight-talking Jackie Kendall tells moms, "Don't let your daughter marry a bozo."

Kendall didn't hold back from telling moms they have a responsibility to keep their girls safe from predatory guys, in speaking to a room full of women during a breakout session at this fall’s .Mom (pronounced Dot Mom) event in Birmingham, Ala.

"The greatest abuse is letting your [daughter] grow up thinking the world revolves around her," Kendall said. "The easiest way to make sure a girl is a bozo-magnet is to teach her that everything is all about her…

Kendall warned that girls who aren't helping other people are usually self-focused and will attract guys who are aware of this vulnerability.

"Do you know why older guys date younger girls?" Kendall asked. "It's because they are easier to seduce." Advising moms to step in if they see their freshman daughter dating a senior boy in high school or college, she said, "These guys see these younger girls as easy fruit. A girl will be all swooning and flattered that the older guy is interested in her, but you need to stop that relationship. He isn't interested in her, just interested in using her."

Kendall warned the women that as mothers, Sunday School teachers or in other roles where they are around girls regularly, they need to watch for signs of abuse in girls who are in relationships with guys.

"Remind them that sex will ruin a good relationship and sustain a bad one," she said. "If you see a girl in a really bad [verbally, emotionally or physically] abusive relationship, there is sex involved. These precious girls get involved with these bozo guys and get led around like dogs."

Girls need to be reminded that they need to require guys to treat them with respect, Kendall said.

"No sexual control before marriage means no sexual control after marriage. Fornication will lead to adultery," she said.

Kendall is author of several books, including "Lady in Waiting: Becoming God's Best While Waiting for Mr. Right," "The Young Lady in Waiting: Developing the Heart of a Princess" and "A Man Worth Waiting For: How to Avoid a Bozo."

"These girls have to know that waiting for Mr. Right is important," Ken

dall said.

"What is worse than waiting? Wishing you had."

PARENT'S CORNER : PARENTAL INFLUENCE

With 95% of teens ages 12-17 online and 80% of those teens using social media, parents may wonder how influential they are in their children’s lives. Research still shows parents are the most influential thing in teenagers’ lives. Parents being involved in children’s lives make for better academic performance and result in teens choosing abstinence until marriage. Be encouraged, parents!

Parents Take Heart! You Still Have the Most Influence

One thing that hasn’t gotten much news coverage these days is the fact that—despite the constant swirl of Facebook networking, Hollywood propaganda  and public school messages—kids are still most heavily influenced by mom and dad.

Take for instance, a recent report from the Pew Research Center, revealing that “95% of all teenagers 12-17 are now online and 80% of those online teens are users of social media sites.”

The report goes on to explain that, along with the many social and informational benefits of the online world, come the bad influences:  A full 88 percent  of teens using social-media sites have witnessed mean or cruel behavior on those outlets, and “44% of online teens admit to lying about their age so they could access a website or sign up for an online account.”

But the encouraging news is “that parents are still the top source for teen internet and cell phone users”—with 86 percent of online and cell phone-using teens saying they got advice on how to stay safe online from parents. Fifty-eight percent reported that their parents “have been the biggest influence on what they think is appropriate or inappropriate when using the internet or cell phone.”

Parental involvement also translates into outcomes like better academic performance and saving sexual activity for marriage. In fact, research tells us that one of the top reasons teens give for abstaining from sexual activity is their parents’ influence.

The moral of the story? Parents never underestimate your power!

Despite all of cultural messages telling you that you’re too out-of-date and behind-the-times to influence your children—it’s just not true. The reality is that parents are the ones who are closest spiritually, mentally and emotionally to their children and the most in tune with their needs…

PERVERSION

The news recently reported that the deputy director of the Center for Disease Control, CDC, was arrested for child molestation and bestiality.

Her position as deputy director is to care for the health and well-being of children and yet these crimes raise many questions as to her competency at her job and even puts into question the integrity of the CDC. These crimes are truly horrendous.

CDC Official Accused of Child Molestation

PHOTO: Police say Dr. Kimberly Lindsey, 44, and Thomas Westerman, 42, allegedly molested a 6-year-old boy in January of last year and then again in August inside the couple's home on Springbrook Drive near Decatur, Ga.

An official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was arrested for allegedly molesting a child and bestiality, according to police in DeKalb County, Ga.

Kimberly Lindsey, 44, a deputy director at CDC, is charged with child molestation and bestiality for two incidences involving a 6-year-old child. Lindsey's live-in boyfriend, Thomas Westerman, 42, is also being charged with child molestation.

The pair is accused of involving the child in their sex acts, including allowing the boy to spank Lindsey's nude buttocks and let him use an electric sex toy on her, according to warrants issued for their arrests.

Lindsey is also accused of performing sexual acts with two pets.

Police said they found evidence in the home during a search that led to the issuance of the warrants, though they would not comment on the nature of the alleged evidence.

The pair turned themselves in on Sunday after they learned warrants had been issued for their arrests, police told ABC affiliate WSBTV.

Officers said a medical professional treating the victim alerted police. The incidences are alleged to have occurred in January of 2010 and August of 2011.

Lindsey is a deputy director for the Laboratory Science Policy and Practice Program Office at the CDC, where she oversees $1.5 billion in funds that are disbursed across the agency for emergency response funding. She is listed as "Top Leadership" on the organization's website, which also says she has worked extensively with bioterrorism prevention, HIV/AIDs prevention, and labratory testing.

The website says she got her PHD from Emory and undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida.

Neither Lindsey nor Westerman could immediately be reached Tuesday.

Lindsey was released on $20,000 bond and Westerman was released on $15,000 bond.

The CDC had no comment other than to say its policy is to let situations like this play out in the criminal justice system.

CDC Study: Abstinence Programs Credited With Reducing Teen Birth Rates

Abstinence education programs are being credited with the good news coming in a new report the CDC issued Thursday [17 Nov 11] from the National Center for Health Statistics showing teen birth rates dropping.

The birth rate for U.S. teens aged 15-19 years hit a record low in 2010, according to the report, “Births: Preliminary Data for 2010,” from CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics. The report is based on an analysis of nearly 100 percent of birth records collected in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.

The birth rate for teenagers aged 15-19 has declined for the last three years and 17 of the past 19 years, falling to 34.3 births per 1,000 teen

agers in 2010 – a 9 percent decline from 2009 and the lowest rate ever recorded in nearly seven decades of collecting data.

Birth rates for younger and older teenagers and for all race/ethnic groups reached historic lows in 2010.

Valerie Huber of the National Abstinence Education Association reacted to the report in an email to LifeNews, and the said the good news on teen birth rates is tempered by news on teen rates of sexual diseases.

“While we want to celebrate good news, we may also want to hold our applause while we review the two new reports coming from the CDC” she said. “Admittedly, good news is not easy to come by in the world of teen sexual activity. So, the new CDC report from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) on the decline in teen births hitting a new low is to be cheered.”

“The 9% drop is impressive but not entirely surprising. This news follows another recent report from the CDC showing that nearly 75% of 15-17 year olds are not having sex,” Huber added. “When data shows the majority of teens are choosing to be abstinent, a decrease in pregnancy rates is to be expected and we are very encouraged by the positive choices teens are making.”

“However, our congratulatory spirit may be given pause when we consider the soaring rates of certain STD’s among all groups including teens.  NAEA has long held the view that teen pregnancy prevention programs are not enough,” she said.

“Simply curbing teen pregnancy is a short-sighted goal that ignores the larger issue of teen sexual activity that must be addressed. Just because pregnancy is prevented does not mean that STDs are prevented, as these reports illustrate. The myth of ‘protected sex’ is clearly exposed by the high prevalence of STDs in teens and falls tragically short of what is the healthiest message.”

NAEA believes the proven programs of Sexual Risk Avoidance abstinence education have contributed greatly to this positive decline.

Against a barrage of disingenuous claims that the abstinence message is unrealistic for teens, NAEA has continued to promote programs that empower teens to make the healthy choice of abstinence.

The 22-peer reviewed studies showing the effectiveness of such programs are now being validated in the recent decline in teen birth rates.

But Huber is concerned by numbers showing chlamydia rates are the highest they have been in twenty years and have increased 24% since 2006, with African American teen girls bearing the greatest burden.

And while Gonorrhea rates are down, the CDC warns that strains are becoming increasingly resistant to treatment, showing that sexual risk avoidance should be given priority.

“Teen pregnancy prevention efforts are insufficient. This is a simplistic response to a complex problem. Only an approach that helps teens avoid all the risk associated with sexual decision-making will adequately address the myriad of potential consequences related to teen sexual activity,” she concluded.

Teens Continue to Choose Abstinence / Teen Sexual Behavior: Promoting Wise Choices / CDC Report — Teenagers in the United States: Sexual Activity, Contraceptive Use, and Childbearing, 2006-2010 National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG)

A new Centers of Disease Control (CDC) report shows that the majority of teens are choosing abstinence, as have been the findings for the past two decades.  Heritage Foundation encourages parents to talk to their children about making healthy and responsible choices because they have a great impact on their children.

We encourage you to raise the bar HIGH for this generation.

Teen Sexual Behavior: Promoting Wise Choices

Statistics released today about American teens’ sexual behavior belie the popular portrayal of American youth as permissive and careless. New data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) report that the majority of teens have remained abstinent.

Though the proportion of teens who are sexually experienced has remained relatively unchanged since 2002, the CDC report does note that the percentage represents a significant decline since 1988. And it’s important to note that the proportion of youths who are abstinent has risen by 17 percent among teenage girls and by 47 percent among teenage boys since 1988. Other data sources confirm this finding.

The toll that early sexual activity takes on youths’ physical and emotional well-being and the association of abstinence with greater academic achievement all signal the importance of promoting the upward trend of abstinence through family, community, and public policy.

Although many parents may assume that popular culture and peer influence outweigh the impact of their guidance, numerous studies have documented the impact that parents can have on their children’s sexual behavior. Youths whose parents discuss the consequences of sexual activity and monitor them more closely are less likely to be sexually active, and teens who feel that their parents would strongly disapprove of their becoming sexually active are less likely to contract a sexually transmitted infection.

The new CDC report underscores the parent factor: Teenage girls in intact families are 47 percent less likely to be sexually experienced than peers in step-families, and 37 percent less likely than peers in single-parent families.

The corresponding figures for teenage boys in intact families are 37 percent and 42 percent.

In addition, community- and school-based programs that promote abstinence have been found to have a significant influence on participants’ behavior.

Abstinence education—which informs adolescents of the social, psychological, and health benefits of abstinence—instills decision-making skills with a long-range vision.

Unfortunately, another type of program has dominated school curricula—“comprehensive” sex education, which focuses on “safe” sexual activity rather than abstinence, in spite of parents’ overwhelming preference for the latter. Taxpayers’ funding for comprehensive sex education programs totaled more than $600 million in 2008.

The recent data on teen sexual behavior gives cause for hope for the well-being and future prospects of the next generation.

A combination of parental involvement and wise public policy can promote the trend toward youths’ abstinence and can bring that hope into reality.

CDC Report: Continuing Positive Abstinence Trend
by Chad Hills (13 Oct 2011)
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released a study (10-12-11):

Teenagers in the United States: Sexual Activity, Contraceptive Use, and Childbearing, 2006-2010 National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) .

The 2006–2010 NSFG was based on 22,682 face-to-face interviews in the U.S. household population aged 15–44 years.
Interviews were conducted with a total of 4,662 teenagers.

Results Are Mostly Encouraging …

In 2006–2010, about 57% of never-married female teenagers, and about 58% of never-married male teenagers (15-19 yrs) have never had sex.

For younger teens, ages 15-17 years, 73% of girls and 72% of boys have not had sex. This is an encouraging trend toward abstinence, which has continued for the past two decades (view Ever Had Sex graphic below).

[PARENT NOTE] The most common relationships where teens often have their first sexual experience occur when they are “Going Steady.”

Although, 24% of teen females and 40% of teen males had their first sex with someone they just met or only went out with once in a while (“friends with benefits” or one-night stand – see graphic with Relationship at First Sex graphic below).

Estimates suggest that while representing 25% of the sexually experienced population, those aged 15–24 acquire nearly one-half of all new STDs.

But teens don’t seem to be as worried about STDs as they are about violating their moral beliefs/religion, causing pregnancy or not finding the right person (see graphic with Top Three Reasons Teens Didn’t Have Sex below)…

The Epidemic of Exploitation
It seems that sexual exploitation around the world is becoming an epidemic. A reported 79% of crimes world-wide are for sexual exploitation, according to the United Nations Office of Drug and Crime. That's an "epidemic level" of victims. What's more surprising is that 83% of the victims in confirmed trafficking incidents were U.S. citizens.

Legislation Introduced to Restore Abstinence Funding
Yesterday, legislation was announced on the floor of the House of Representatives that will restore funding fo

r Abstinence –Centered Education by reallocating prevention funds for this purpose.  The Abstinence-Centered Education Reallocation Act, sponsored by Rep. Randall Hultgren (R-IL), is a bill that will put a priority on the sexual risk avoidance message found in abstinence programs. “ Since President Obama chose to eliminate all funding for abstinence education, this bill is a welcome sign that sexual risk avoidance can once again be the primary prevention message that youth will receive in classrooms across America,” stated Valerie Huber, Executive Director of the National Abstinence Education Association( NAEA).

The bill follows a recent HHS study, The National Survey of Adolescents and Their Parents which reported that 70% of parents and nearly as many teens support the abstinence until marriage message. It also acknowledges the recent CDC report that shows teens are increasingly choosing abstinence with 68% of boys and 67% of girls ages 15-17 reporting that they have not had sex.

“NAEA applauds the leadership of Rep. Hultgren who has taken legislative action to support these positive trends in the healthy decisions teens are making,” added Huber. "We encourage other Members of Congress to co-sponsor the Abstinence Education Reallocation Act of 2011 and urge the House to quickly approve the federal sex education policy change called for in this bill."

Nearly Half of African-American Youth Report Pressure to Have Sex: Survey

A new survey of African-American youth has found that almost half report considerable pressure to have sex. The results, which were derived from the answers of 1,500 youth ages 13-21, will be featured in the October issue of ESSENCE magazine, out on newsstands today.

“I was elated that Essence, a secular Black magazine, choose to even run the story along with the data,” said the founder of BlackGenocide.org Rev. Clenard Childress Jr. “The multiple images and lyrics and instruction [young African-Americans’] minds are exposed to can only result in ill advised sexual behavior.”
The survey results will be featured in the October edition of ESSENCE magazine.

“The result of the pressure has resulted in Black young women getting abortions disproportionately, which accounts for the data stating (a plummeting birth rate),” he told LifeSiteNews.

Released by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, the survey found that 47% of respondents, including 21% of those 13-15, said they had been pressured to go further sexually than they wanted to. Among African-American males, 54% said they felt pressured by their friends to have sex.

Respondents said that they believe that the TV shows and movies they watch paint a negative picture of African-American youth. For example, 72% believe that the media sends the message that African-American females’ most important quality is their sex appeal, and 64% believe that the media sends the message that it is okay for African-American males to cheat in relationships.

“We are proud to work in partnership with the experts at the National Campaign on this survey, and to bring its eye-opening results to our readers in our October issue” said Constance C.R. White, ESSENCE editor-in-chief. “I am so grateful to the young people who opened up to us in the survey and told us what is really going on in their lives today.”

Other findings from the survey include that 73% of respondents said the media portrays African-American youth as sexually aggressive and just 18% said they see themselves in the TV shows and movies they watch.

Among those ages 13-21, 31% said their parents have the most influence on their decision whether or not to have sex. Forty-seven percent of those ages 13-15 said their parents’ opinions matter on the issue, compared to 28% of those ages 16-18 and 17% of those ages 19-21.

The survey found that 66% of African-American males said that sex is a “big deal” and 73% would rather be in a relationship with no sex than have sex with no relationship.

Among those ages 13-21, 46%, including 34% of those ages 13-15, said they have seen pornography online when they were not looking for it.

Childress, however, expressed dismay that Essence “deliberately omitted the abortion issue.”

“It is gross negligence of any reporter to present research on the sex habits of African-Americans and leave out abortion,” he said. “1,786 African-Americans are aborted each day.”

“In order to have an abortion it is safe to say that at one time in the past 9 months you had sex. To report on sex in the African-American Community and not mention abortion is like talking about the sex habits of homosexuals and not mention AIDS.”

How to Defend Your Children Against Pro-Homosexual Lessons in the Classroom
As young people across North America head back to school next week parents need to attend to more than just making sure the back-to-school clothes and utensils are in place.  There is an unprecedented attack on morals coming from the school.

Particularly in the area of sexuality, so-called public morality has moved outside of the realm of life-and-family-affirming principles to such an extent that a veritable anti-morality is being fed to our children.  And this year there is a concerted effort to restrict parents from countering the efforts of the school to promote this anti-morality.

Both in California and Ontario pro-homosexual curricula are to be introduced into public schools forbidding parents from opting their children out from such instruction.  Even where parent opt-outs are permitted, however, some schools have resorted to instructing students to keep secret from their parents sexuality discussions held in the school.

My fellow parents, are you ready to take on the battle to save your children from the anti-morality tidal wave that is coming?  There are myriad suggested coping mechanisms –  from homeschooling, to private schooling to becoming very involved in ensuring proper education at school.

However, one thing we all need to do – at the appropriate age for our children – is give them proper education on human sexuality.  Even though research shows that nearly all parents want to be the primary sex educators for their children, there are precious few who engage in the teaching.

The moral message is a simple one that has truth and love as its foundation.  Explaining it even to pre-teens is less difficult then some suspect.  And from the basis of the simple

st explanation, more detail can be added at appropriate age levels.

Here are some suggested thoughts to convey:

Explain that God made us, made our bodies and designed us so that a husband and wife would come together in a special embrace called ‘sex’ which God uses to bless us with children.  That embrace God designed only for inside marriage of a man and a woman.  He does not restrict it to be mean, but only so that we will be healthy and happy and ultimately with Him in heaven forever.

Some people decide to use that special embrace outside of marriage and it ends up hurting them.  Diseases (STDs) come to the body when the embrace is misused like that, and sadness (emotional trauma) too.  Sometimes when children are born from these embraces their moms or dads are missing since they were not married.

Diseases come to the body too when two men try to make that special embrace.  It is harmful to their bodies, to their emotions and also to their souls.  And because we love everyone, we will tell them lovingly and kindly that this embrace outside of marriage or else man-to-man or woman-to-woman is harmful for the body and soul.

Sometimes people don’t like to be told what they are doing is wrong though.  Just like when Mom tells you, you can’t play by the side of the cliff, she’s not saying that to be unkind – or so you won’t have fun.  Even though you may want to play there, she knows it is dangerous and tells you to come away because she loves you.

In just the same way we say that sex outside of marriage, or between two men or two women is wrong.  Because we love all people we tell them that embrace outside of the way God our creator intended it is harmful for their bodies and souls.

Commentary: Sexual Anarchy

In “Batman,” the Joker rhetorically asks a young Bruce Wayne: “Tell me, kid – you ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight?” Well, I have. Not by the pale moonlight, but in a brightly lit Four Points Sheraton in Baltimore, Md.

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, I – along with the venerable child advocate Dr. Judith Reisman – attended a conference hosted by the pedophile group B4U-ACT.

Around 50 individuals were in attendance, including a number of admitted pedophiles (or “minor-attracted persons” as they euphemistically prefer), a few self-described “gay activists” and several supportive mental-health professionals. World renowned “sexologist” Dr. Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins University gave the keynote address, saying: “I want to completely support the goal of B4U-ACT.”

Here are some highlights from the conference:

    * Pedophiles are “unfairly stigmatized and demonized” by society.
    * There was concern about “vice-laden diagnostic criteria” and “cultural baggage of wrongfulness.”
    * “We are not required to interfere with or inhibit our child’s sexuality.”
    * “Children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult.
    * “In Western culture sex is taken too seriously.”
    * “Anglo-American standard on age of consent is new [and ‘Puritanical’]. In Europe it was always set at 10 or 12. Ages of consent beyond that are relatively new and very strange, especially for boys. They’ve always been able to have sex at any age.”
    * An adult’s desire to have sex with children is “normative.”
    * Our society should “maximize individual liberty. … We have a highly moralistic society that is not consistent with liberty.” “Assuming children are unable to consent lends itself to criminalization and stigmatization.”
    * “These things are not black and white; there are various shades of gray.”
    * A consensus belief by both speakers and pedophiles in attendance was that, because it vilifies MAPs, pedophilia should be removed as a mental disorder from the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), in the same manner homosexuality was removed in 1973.
    * Dr. Fred Berlin acknowledged that it was political activism, similar to the incrementalist strategy witnessed at the conference, rather than a scientific calculus that successfully led to the declassification of homosexuality as a mental disorder: The reason “homosexuality was taken out of DSM is that people didn’t want the government in the bedroom,” he said.
    * The DSM ignores that pedophiles “have feelings of love and romance for children” in the same way adults love one another.
    * “The majority of pedophiles are gentle and rational.”
    * The DSM should “focus on the needs” of the pedophile, and should have “a minimal focus on social control,” rather than obsessing about the “need to protect children.”
    * Self-described “gay activist” and speaker Jacob Breslow said that children can properly be “the object of our attraction.” He further objectified children, suggesting that pedophiles needn’t gain consent from a child to have sex with “it” any more than we need consent from a shoe to wear it. He then used graphic, slang language to favorably describe the act of climaxing (ejaculating) “on or with” a child. No one in attendance objected to this explicit depiction of child sexual assault. There was even laughter. (In fairness, Dr. Berlin did later tell Mr. Breslow that his words might “anger” some people and that he [Berlin] is categorically opposed to adult-child sex with “pre-pubescent” children. When asked about the propriety of adult-child sex with pubescent children, Dr. Berlin did not provide a clear answer.)

So, am I just an intolerant, “pedophobic” bigot? Apparently so. In fact, Dr. Berlin says pedophilia is just another “sexual orientation.” Some of the “minor attracted” conference-goers insisted that they were “born that way.” Sound familiar?

This is sexual anarchy – fulfillment of the moral relativist dream.

In the 1940s, homosexual psychopath and secular-humanist messiah Alfred Kinsey’s stated goal was to destroy, in society, the Judeo-Christian sexual ethic. He has largely achieved that goal.

Indeed, during his sexology “research,” Kinsey facilitated the rape of thousands of children – some as young as 2 months old – placing stopwatches and ledgers in the hands of “minor-attracted persons” to document their “findings.” He then recorded everything in what is generally referred to as the “Kinsey Reports.”

Kinsey determined, among many things, that children are not harmed by sex with adults and that it can be a positive experience. Old Al even earned his very own Kinsey Institute, still in existence today at Indiana University.

As recently as 1998, the APA seemed to agree with Kinsey’s assessment, releasing a report that suggested harm caused by chil

d rape was “overstated” and that “the vast majority of both men and women reported no negative sexual effects from their child sexual abuse experiences.”

Furthermore, the APA report suggested that the term “child sex abuse” be swapped with “adult-child sex,” indicating, as did Kinsey, that such “intergenerational intimacy” can be “positive.” Isn’t “tolerance” wonderful?

Oh, and the “progressive,” political-activist APA has also seen fit to join an amicus brief in favor of so-called “same-sex marriage.” What does this have to do with psychiatry? Your guess is as good as mine.

Make no mistake: Children are the target of what I call the “sexual anarchy movement.”

Whether it’s the movement’s pedophile wing that seeks to literally rape children, or its radical pro-abortion, homosexualist and feminist wings, which seek to rape the minds of children, the larger sexual anarchy movement has a shared goal: Attack, corrupt and destroy God’s design for human sexuality. Children are just collateral damage.

Sexual anarchists know that to own the future, they must own the minds of our children. Hence, groups like B4U-ACT, GLSEN (The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network), Planned Parenthood and the like utilize academia from pre-school to post-graduate to brainwash and indoctrinate. Still, sexual anarchists are not restricted to the world of not-for-profit perversion advocacy. They also permeate the Obama administration.

Consider, for instance, that the official website for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently linked to “parenting tips” that referenced children as “sexual beings” and suggested that they should experiment with homosexuality and masturbation.

Small surprise when you consider that radical feminist and pro-abort Kathleen Sebelius was President Obama’s pick as HHS secretary.

You may also recall that Mr. Obama appointed Kevin Jennings, founder of the aforementioned GLSEN, to the post of “safe schools czar.” The position is now defunct, ostensibly due to national outrage over Jennings’ appointment.

In keeping with the thinly veiled goals of B4U-ACT, GLSEN seems to be “running interference” for pedophiles, having tacitly advocated adult-child sex through its “recommended reading list” for kids.

Again, not surprising when you consider that one of Jennings’s ideological mentors is “gay” activist pioneer Harry Hay. “One of the people that’s always inspired me is Harry Hay,” he has said glowingly.

What did Mr. Hay think? I’ll let him speak for himself. In 1983, while addressing the pedophile North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), Hay said the following:

“[I]t seems to me that in the gay community the people who should be running interference for NAMBLA are the parents and friends of gays. Because if the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what 13-, 14-, and 15-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world. And they would be welcoming this, and welcoming the opportunity for young gay kids to have the kind of experience that they would need.”

(Oddly, there’s another “gay” activist group, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, or PFLAG, that frequently partners with GLSEN. I wonder where they came up with the catchy title.)

Bolstered by support from the National Education Association, GLSEN has access to your children through sex education curricula it provides thousands of public schools across the country, and via adult sponsored “Gay Straight Alliances,” hosted in those same schools.

Alas, we live in a post-Kinsey America wherein our culture, along with our Judeo-Christian heritage, rots in the heat of the day. The stench of sexual anarchy is masked by the soaring, disingenuous rhetoric of “tolerance,” “diversity” and “comprehensive sex education.”

Sick to your stomach? I am. Why can’t these sexual anarchists leave our children alone and let kids be kids?

THE SEX ED FALLACY
Facing the  facts on teen pregnancy
"Why Sex Education Won't Work"

– Anne Nolte, M.D. –

New York Post – 15 August 2011

 http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/opedcolumnists/the_sex_ed_fallacy_1nORufgkk4xSTVsSN29wUI#ixzz1VZeu5jAl

Graphic sex education inside and outside of the schools, which teaches kids about the risks of early sexual behavior and provides detailed information about how to decrease those risks, has been stirring controversy for more than 30 years — but has had little significant effect on outcomes

In medicine, sometimes what is needed is a paradigm shift — not just small changes, but a radical re-evaluation of the problem and the assumptions and presuppositions relating to it.

If we had the courage, we’d challenge our preconceived ideas about teenage behavior and sexuality and would go back to the drawing board.

Could it be that teens really are capable of self-control, moral decision-making and goal-directed behavior? That teens would adopt healthier behaviors, if they got a consistent message from parents, teachers, doctors and the media that risk-avoidance, rather than simply risk-reduction, is possible and would maximize their happiness? Could it be that we — the adults who discount their potential for acting with integrity and maturity — are part of the problem?

In every other public-health intervention, an ideal is promoted: no-smoking campaigns, no-soda-drinking campaigns. Why not in the area of teen sexuality?

I don’t believe that this mandate springs from some hidden agenda to increase teen sexual behavior by saturating them with information about sex. It isn’t part of some hidden plot to undermine society or the rights of parents or religious organizations. I just believe that it isn’t going to work — and that our teens will continue to pay the price for our lack of courage.

Sexual Anarchy: The Kinsey Legacy

Alfred Kinsey, the head engineer of the sexual anarchy movement.

Our children are under attack by an insidious and virulent enemy.

On August 17, 2011, more than 50 activists attended a conference for “minor-attracted adults,” i.e., pedophiles, which sought to eliminate the “stigma” attached to pedophilia and to redefine pedophilia as a normal “sexual orientation.”

The United States Department of Justice has determined that 64 percent of forcible sodomy victims are boys under the age of 12 and that 58,200 children were kidnapped by non-family members in 1999.

So-called “experts” in the fie

ld of human sexuality claim that children are sexual not only from birth, but even in the womb and are willing participants in sexual acts with adults.

Children are encouraged to experiment with sex early and often and to engage in sex with members of the same-sex as well as the opposite sex. Sexually transmitted diseases among teenagers are at epidemic proportions, and new and sometimes fatal strains of diseases are being reported. More than 50,000 teens have contracted HIV which has advanced to full blown AIDS and by 1992 more than 7,000 boys and 1,500 girls had died from HIV/AIDS.

How did we get here? How do we stop the madness before we lose an entire generation?

The question of how we got here can be answered by two words: Alfred Kinsey.

Even 55 years after his death, Dr. Alfred C. Kinsey continues to profoundly affect American culture. Two of his most ardent supporters, Dr. Carol Vance, Columbia University anthropologist and lesbian activist, and Dr. John Money, an “out” pedophile advocate and pioneer of transgender surgery at Johns Hopkins, have cogently summed up Dr. Kinsey’s legacy – a legacy they consider sexual “progress” but is in reality sexual anarchy.

Speaking at a 1998 Kinsey symposium of fellow sexologists at San Francisco State University, Dr. Vance said, “Biography is the battleground.”[1] Should Kinsey be discredited, she warned, “200 years of sexual progress can be undone.”

Dr. Vance’s statements echo comments made in 1981 by Dr. Money at the 5th World Congress of Sexology in Israel. They also agreed that the information contained in Table 34, below, and the other data chronicling Kinsey’s and his team’s widespread child abuse, described in detail in Kinsey’s 1948 study on male sexuality, would be the undoing of the “Pre and Post Kinsey eras” globally and in the USA.

In fact, Dr. John Bancroft, director of the Kinsey Institute said at the 1998 conference, which commemorated the 50th anniversary of Kinsey’s studies, that he “prayed” that a British television program, “Secret History: Kinsey Paedophiles,” would never be shown in the United States because the public would not understand the “science” involved in Kinsey’s publication of tables 30-34. He understood that should those tables be widely publicized in the United States, then the whole field of human sexuality and human sex education would be destroyed.

This field of human sexuality and human sex education and 200 years of “sexual progress” that these elite “scientists” were so worried would be destroyed is better described as sexual anarchy. This sexual anarchy that has given these scientists and their followers prestige, money, credibility and control over the deconstruction of the Judeo-Christian civil society was crafted by Dr. Kinsey.

A gall-wasp zoologist at Indiana University from 1920 to his death in 1956, Dr. Kinsey is most famous for his earth-shaking books, Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (1948)[2] and Sexual Behavior in the Human Female (1953),[3] funded by Indiana University and the Rockefeller Foundation.

Dr. Kinsey said that his mission was to eliminate the sexually “repressive” legal and behavioral legacy of Judeo Christianity. He claimed that this “repressive” sexual legacy was responsible for socio-sexual ills like divorce, rape, illegitimacy, venereal disease, juvenile delinquency, promiscuity, homosexuality, adultery, and child sexual abuse.

Furthermore, he argued that if we Americans would admit that we really were engaged in widespread licentious conduct, instead of hypocritically denying it, then these socio-sexual ills would be dramatically reduced.

In large measure, Dr. Kinsey’s mission has been accomplished, mostly posthumously, by his legion of true believers–elitists who have systematically brainwashed their fellow intellectual elites to adopt Kinsey’s pan-sexual secular worldview and jettison the Judeo Christian worldview upon which this country was founded and flourished.

The result of Dr. Kinsey’s mission has been totally antithetical to the utopia he predicted.

Instead of reducing the socio-sexual ills that he claimed were rampant in pre-Kinsey America, the implementation of the Kinsey worldview has increased extant global sexual trauma while ushering in a host of new ills that are objectively defined as sexual anarchy. Like a cancer spreading throughout the body, sexual anarchy has spread throughout the fabric of society, affecting every aspect of American life and every man, woman and child.

According to the Rockefeller-funded Kinsey “study,” his “science” proved that humans had all along been copulating like insects or monkeys but systematically and hypocritically lying about their conduct. Adults claimed they were virgins, or maritally faithful, but, according to Kinsey, the truth was that most people were promiscuous and the widespread promiscuity had done no harm to the civil society.

Therefore, Kinsey said, all of the laws restraining sexual behavior–the laws that had favored and protected women, children and the family for generations –were simply old-fashioned leftovers from an uninformed and hypocritical era. Such sex laws were no longer valid in a “sexually enlightened and honest era.”

Enter “Kinsey’s pamphleteer,” Hugh Hefner and his Playboy magazine. At Kinsey’s urging, the country’s laws were gutted to resemble the free love, free life style Kinsey alleged Americans were living all along, and could finally live out with a free and open spirit–no more lies or pretense.

Thus the 1955 American Law Institute Model Penal Code jettisoned the “common law” sexual standards that were based upon Biblical authority/precedent for “scientific law” based on Kinsey’s allegedly “objective data.”

The ALI recommended laws trivializing rape and allowing fornication, cohabitation, sodomy and adultery. Shortly thereafter, fornication, cohabitation and adultery were decriminalized so that they would become common, normal, and harmless, as Kinsey said they had been all along. In 1957, the United States Department of Defense used Kinsey and his team to conclude that homosexuals do not pose a security risk.

The ALI also recommended changing the definition of obscenity, which the Supreme Court did in 1960. That same year Kinsey’s claim that 10% to 37% of the male population is at least sometimes homosexual was used to promote “gay rights” in elite professions, e.g., medicine, psychiatry, social work, education, etc.

In 1961, Illinois became the first state to legalize heterosexual sodomy. In 1962 Ralph Slovenko wrote in the Vanderbilt Law Review that four or five year olds are provocateurs: “Even at the age of four or five, this seductiveness may be so powerful as to overwhelm the adult into committing the offense.”

That same year, the United States Supreme Court declared prayer in public schools unconstitutional[4] and the following year declared that Bible reading in public schools was unconstitutional.[5] The Judeo-Christian worldview was expunged from the classroom. Schools could no longer teach that fornication, adultery or cohabitation were illegal, nor could the health teachers imply that sex should be confined to marriage because that would reflect a “religious,” thus allegedly a non-scientific, worldview.

The only avenue remaining for the teaching of human reproduction was the “scientific,” i.e., Kinseyan, secular worldview.

By 1968 over 51,000 sex professionals had been trained by the unaccredited IASHS (Institute for the Advance

d Study of Human Sexuality) to teach Kinseyan sexuality in schools and medical schools and to design school sex education curricula. In 1975, the IASHS began to accredit sex educators in “safe sex” through the Ph.D. level.

Contraception became a necessity in the face of the radical changes in the sexual landscape, and so it was legalized in 1965.[6]
TABLE 34, one of five tables documenting the Kinsey team’s child sexual abuse protocol in Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (1948).

As evidence of lack of “consent” became the only criteria for sex crimes, alleged rape victims were commonly challenged as “liking” the rough sex and as consenting to the sexual activity. Prostitution and rape were increasingly referred to as “victimless crimes” in the courts and in the media.

Thus, the right to have sex for ‘fun’ and profit became the justification for a sex industry, inaugurated by Kinsey’s publicist, Hugh Hefner, that includes child and adult pornography, exhibitionism, prostitution and strip clubs, to name a few. That industry has grown to a multi-billion dollar market, giving its purveyors the resources and clout to negotiate grants to sexology research groups and organizations that create the sex education curricula for the nation’s schools, as well as access to lobbyists and, arguably, to state and federal legislators to continue to change the law to favor the sex industry’s interests.

Playboy, et al, also have funded Planned Parenthood, Sex Information & Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), the Kinsey Institute, and other “sexology” institutions.

In 1967, Playboy provided the first of many grants to the ACLU to support drug use, pornography, abortion, homosexuality, school sex [mis]education and the elimination or reduction of sex offender penalties. Beginning in 1970, Playboy officially granted funds to NORML, the National Organization for the Repeal of Marijuana Laws.

The year 1969 brought about significant events related to the systematic effort to normalize homosexuality as championed by Kinsey 21 years earlier. The Gay Liberation Front was formed at the New York Alternative University. The American Sociological Association officially stated that homosexuality is normal, citing Kinsey’s “research.” The National Institutes of Mental Health Task Force on Homosexuality recommended legalizing private consensual homosexual acts (sodomy) citing to Kinsey’s “data.”[7] In 1972, the NIMH Task Force, led by Kinseyan disciples, urged that homosexuality be taught as a normal sexual variation in the nation’s schools.

“No fault” divorce was ushered in by California in 1970.

By 1985, no fault divorce was the law in 49 states. This triggered a massive increase in the divorce rate and the impovertization of women and children, increasing the need for welfare and abortion, with the latter legalized in 1973.[8]

The absence of fathers in the home decreased the economic, social, emotional and spiritual home life, which triggered epidemic child sexual abuse, increased promiscuity, increased criminality–including rape and prostitution–increased venereal diseases and sterility in young women. With no father in the home, children were significantly more vulnerable to molestation by older children, which was redefined as “harmless” peer sex play by Kinsey. This “harmless” sex play led to increased rates of venereal disease, promiscuity, homosexual acting out and suicide.

These disorders then opened the door to additional, more virulent forms of mandated sex [mis]education couched as “pride” in one’s sexual “orientation,” anti-bullying, AIDS prevention and more instruction in “safe sex,” including mutual masturbation, oral and anal sodomy and viewing pornography.

By 1981 Dr. Mary Calderone, SIECUS president and past medical director of Planned Parenthood, took Kinsey one step further, asserting that children are sexual in the womb (Kinsey said children were sexual from birth).

Calderone announced that awareness of childhood sexuality was a primary goal of her organization. This set the “scientific” standard for distributing condoms to children nationwide. Therapeutic interventions were instituted to aid the now increasingly traumatized youth. Pharmocological intervention also increased, including mandated Hepatitis B vaccines for infants and HPV vaccines for elementary age children as STD “protections,” both of which were advocated in a 1977 “Child Rights” pedophile manifesto.

Hundreds of pages could be written on these issues and the additional fallout from Kinsey’s successful promiscuity propaganda that plummeted Reagan’s shining City on a Hill into a state of sexual anarchy.

We must focus now on how we stop the madness – not by ignoring the problem or by giving up in despair. God is on our side, just as He was on the side of those who founded this country. God used 56 God-fearing men to stand up to the largest imperial force in the free world and birth this great nation. He can use us to stand up against the current state of sexual anarchy, return this nation to our Judeo-Christian roots and rescue our children from the enemy who seeks to steal, kill and dstroy. As beneficiaries of God’s miraculous creation of these United States we cannot do anything less.

Kinsey and his disciples at the Kinsey Institute have had more than 60 years to re-shape American culture. With Dr. Reisman’s decades of research we have the weapons to gain the upper hand, and we must band together to create the Judeo-Christian answer to the Kinsey Institute… We can and must win this battle.

Notes:

1 “Biography has become a battleground as moral conservatives like Dr. Judith Reisman strive to discredit
Alfred Kinsey in order to revisit another America era” warned Professor Carole Vance. Another infamous sexologist stated, “I have some problems, and I’m sure several of us do, with the use of the word “normal.” If you look at sexual abuse in children, the problem with defining it is, to what extent are we talking about aspects of behavior that we would call wrong….we don’t know really how harmful those experiences are….” (November 6, 1998, San Francisco State University seminar, “Kinsey At 50: Reflections On Changes In American Attitudes About Sexuality Half A Century After The Alfred Kinsey Studies,” lionizing Kinsey and addressing anarchist strategies for a new global sexual future).

2 In the same year, Carnegie Foundation funds the ABA/ALI Legal Education Committee. Other pro-Kinsey
books are published calling for sex law reforms and leniency for perpetrators.

3 In that year, the Reece congressional committee was prohibited from investigating Kinsey’s data. Also, Planned Parenthood is founded in Washington, D.C.

4
Engel v. Vitale, 370 U.S. 421 (1962).

5 Abington School District v. Schempp, 372 U.S. 203 (1963).

6 Griswold v. Connecticut, 381 U.S. 479 (1965) (married couples), Eisenstadt v. Baird, 405 U.S. 438 (1972)
(unmarried couples).

7 The Supreme Court upheld the criminalization of sodomy in Bowers v. Hardwick, 478 U.S. 186 (1986), but
then overturned Bowers and found that homosexual sodomy could no longer be criminalized in Lawrence v. Texas, 539 U.S. 558 (2003). Lawrence was based largely on the 1955 ALI Model Penal Code, which has been widely referred to as a Kinsey document.

8 Roe v. Wade, 410 US 113 (1973). As Justice Kennedy noted in the Lawrence opinion, Griswold and
Eisenstadt were part of the background for the opinion in Roe. Lawrence, 5

39 U.S. at 565. This illustrates how Kinsey’s legacy has permeated every aspect of society.

Gen Xers Don’t Want Divorce, but How Can They Avoid It?
Generation X married couples prefer monogamy to divorce, according to a recent Baltimore Sun article. The article’s author Susan Reimer cited a survey by the University of Virginia’s National Marriage Project, including its continued confirmation that the number of divorces has been in decline since it peaked in 1980.

Reimer declared that children of the divorce boom of the 1970s would “rather put chocolate syrup in the baby bottles than put the children through a family break-up.” The decline in divorce is particularly true among highly educated couples, only 11% of whom divorce during their first 10 years of marriage compared to 37% of the rest of the population. The study indicates, although absent from Reimer’s coverage, that religious practice is an even better predictor than a college degree of happiness in marriage and low risk of divorce.

In an interview with LifeSiteNews, the author of “How to Find Your Soulmate without Losing Your Soul?”  Jason Evert described the report as “promising.”

Evert stressed that coming to marriage with a proper outlook is essential in lasting unions. Evert suggested that many single men are under the impression that marriage will be “a fulfillment of pornographic wishes,” when in reality “porn is the distortion of human love.” “When such individuals enter marriage, their self-absorbed and immature view of relationships and their jaded and incomplete notion of fidelity surfaces almost immediately,” he said. “It’s difficult to conceive of a better way to cripple a future marriage.”

Evert recalled the words of Blessed John Paul II in his book “Love and Responsibility” that married love “is put to the test most severely when the sensual and emotional reactions themselves grow weaker, and sexual values as such lose their effect. Nothing then remains except the value of the person, and the inner truth about the love of those connected comes to light. If their love is a true gift of self, so that they belong to the other, it will not only survive but grow stronger, and sink deeper roots.”

“But,” Evert noted, “if the union is based merely upon an affective love, it will be unable to sustain itself.”

Evert observed that when love is tested, its value is revealed. He suggested that this “love” is not a separate, mysterious entity that the couple may or may not possess. “Rather,” he remarked, “it’s the measure of their daily willingness to make the other person’s happiness their personal priority.”

Back to Basics: Abstinence is the #1 Issue

Dear Defender of Virtue, This is one of the most important letters I have written in a long time. America is at a major crossroads.

In this letter I want to demonstrate to you why investing in abstinence education… is by far the most important investment you can make at this time.

Why: Abstinence is the #1 issue that will defend freedom and is absolutely the very foundation of liberty.

A Republican congressman recently said, "We don't have the luxury to talk about the culture or social issues." He felt the economy and jobs were the only issues that would determine the election.

But it's not the economy, it's the culture.

And it's the breakdown of the culture that has caused almost all our economic woes and I'll explain why in the following.

The Godless worldview of this culture is this:

— to teach sexuality with no moral restraints;
— to give unlimited condoms and contraceptives, paid for by taxpayers to every child in America;
— to insure unlimited abortions – also paid by taxpayers, at any time and for any reason throughout nine months;
— to promote homosexuality in all the schools of America;
— and to allow access to pornography in public libraries (protected by freedom of speech).

If you disagree with this worldview in any way you are labeled a "racist", "sexist", "intolerant" or a "radical".

Worse yet, using our tax dollars, they are enacting legislation to indoctrinate young people contrary to the values of the majority of parents.

Ideas have consequences.
And there are major consequences to every decision.
What are some of the consequences of the decisions based on this Godless worldview? Let's review:

— We now have over 65 million young people with incurable sexually transmitted diseases.

— Almost 1.5 million abortions per year since Roe V Wade in 1973 = over 53 MILLION aborted babies. If the Vietnam Memorial represented those who died in this holocaust it would have to be 66 miles long. Twenty nine million of those babies would be in the workforce right now, contributing to our economy with their unique knowledge, talents and abilities.

— Welfare – our country has spent over $10 TRILLION on welfare since the "war on poverty" and we now have more poor than when we started. Politicians haven't cured poverty, but they are trying hard to cure wealth. One third of babies in America are born to unwed mothers. Statistics reveal they have a 90% greater chance to live in poverty, end up on drugs or alcohol, and live on welfare. Our nation has created such an entitlement culture that many have babies out of wedlock just to increase their welfare check.

— Crime, drug abuse, alcoholism, rape, sexual exploitation, and molestation are at an all time high.

— According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' new standards, educators are FORBIDDEN to teach abstinence in our nation's public schools. (Community-Centered Healthy Marriage and Relationship Grants HHS-2001-ACF-OFA-FM-0193)

… Our national motto is: "One Nation Under God."

Ronald Reagan said, "If we ever forget we are one nation under God we shall be a nation gone under. Rome was rich and powerful but it became full of drunkenness and immorality and it crumbled."

John Adams said, "Freedom without virtue is madness." The very foundation of freedom rests on two things:

1. Moral restraint

2. Responsibility

Freedom is not license. Our nation is changing our moral code to match behavior rather than trying to change our behavior to meet a fixed moral code.

We're sending our young people out on the stormiest sea of life with no fixed stars, no compass, no rudders and no anchor.
And we wonder why their lives end up shipwrecked on the sea shore of life.

The National Abstinence Clearinghouse is a light in the darkness. We are committed to RAISING THE BAR.

Young people all over America are searching for answers like never before. We must engage them and the culture if we are to preserve freedom throughout the land.

The subject of sexuality shouldn't be taught by playboy philosophers, pornographers, pundits and perverts.

That is why we are here to network people for abstinence around the world by providing resources, materials and programs that teach our young people the value of themselves.

Despite attempts to minimize the efforts and effects of abstinence educators and programs, the National Abstinence Clearinghouse remains steadfast and resolute about promoting the 'abstinence until marriage' message across the world.

We ARE NOT giving in!

We are committed to training parents, preachers, teachers and people with principle to share the truth of how God created them with the principles of true love and commitment.

All of life is about relationships. Everyone wants to be loved. But the distorted view of lust is the only thing too many young people are exposed to. We have the training and the materials to turn this nation into a classroom.

You see, we are talking to a parade. Every generation of young people has to learn these principles all over again.

We must get help at this critical point to continue important events such as:

— Purity Balls throughout the nation – where father and daughter hear a talk about the importance of character and make a commitment to purity until marriage because we realize the importance the difference a father can make in his daughter's life.

— A Knight to Remember to strengthen the mother/son relationship and help develop men of integrity and build character and honor.

— Programs that teach integrity and character to young men and women through Bible studies and educational materials such as Father/Son Time Outs and God, Mom & Me Teas

— Provide resources for abstinence educators to go to schools throughout each region. Teaching not only abstinence until marriage, but the importance of fatherhood and of marriage preparation…

Late one weekend night, I received a call from a young couple. The husband was whispering into the phone and he said, "Mrs. Unruh, we made it – it's our wedding night. I'm a virgin and so is my wife. I can't thank you enough for what you taught us about character."

Abstinence builds character and a man's character is his fate in life. And that's the bottom line.

NO SUCH THING AS FREE LOVE

Concerned Women for America reports on frightening changes on the STD front. In 1918, the Center for Disease Control reported three notifiable diseases. In 2011, there are 49 STDS and two of those have multiple types and strains. Today, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) has 65 types, subtypes, groups, and strains. It’s a dangerous world out there for those who pursue sex without commitment.

In 1918, when the Chamberlain-Kahn Act was signed into law, the newly established Division of Venereal Diseases within the Bureau of the Public Health Service tracked three specific venereal diseases: Syphilis, Gonorrhea, and Chancroid. By 1950, the list expanded to include Granuloma Inguinale and Lymphogranuloma Venereum. Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports on the three notifiable diseases, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis as well as using other sources to report on Chancroid, Human Papillomavirus, Herpes Simplex Virus, and Trichomoniasis.

Concerned Women for America's 2011 report lists 49 sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) found during the course of a search for one definitive list of current STDs. Of those 49 STDs, two have multiple types and strains. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) has 65 types, subtypes, groups, and strains as of this writing. The HIV virus continues to mutate, especially with Circulating Recombinant Forms (CRFs) which occur when two subtypes combine to create a new hybrid virus. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) has 100 types of viruses, at least 40 of which can infect the genital areas of males and females, and 30 of those may cause cancer. In less than 100 years, there are more than 16 times as many STDs as in 1918.

Whether the STD is rare or not, the person who acquires it may endure lifelong consequences. Of the 19 million new STD infections the CDC estimates occur in the United States each year, almost half of them are in young people. If they are infected but asymptomatic, they will not seek treatment, and that may lead to a lifetime of problems. The cost of teenage promiscuity may be paid when they are adults and find out they cannot have children.

"Sexually Transmitted Diseases: The Cost of Free Love," is published for the Web via Adobe Acrobat and is available as a full download. For slower connections, it may also be downloaded in separate components: Narrative and Appendix A, and Appendix B. A brochure is also available.

Problem and Solution
The Family Research Council's article 'Social Rubbernecking' points out how our culture glorifies adolescent sexuality as seen on TV, in movies, and in our children's classrooms.

Yet statistics show the harm that this has had, both from increased exposure to STDs and from higher divorce rates.
Our society has changed so much that the latest federal "teen pregnancy prevention" program FORBIDS grantees teaching abstinence until marriage. This is not big news to the abstinence educators on our mailing list; we've been in this fight for a long time.

We do want to point your attention to resources and programs that do work. Our founder, Leslee Unruh, just did a presentation on raising the bar last week. She shared about resources available to take to your communities and organizations that truly do make a difference.

New Research Supports Chastity / Good News on Teens and Sex
Listen online to Dr. Janice Crouse report on the effectiveness of teaching the sexual purity message of chastity compared with the negative impact of the contraceptive message in different parts of the world. We do our adolescents no favors by telling them that if it feels good, do it, or by lowering our expectations.

New Research Supports Chastity
A study of AIDS prevention in Zimbabwe, funded by the United Nations, shows that chastity, abstinence, monogamy, and fidelity are all key factors in reducing the spread of the HIV virus. In contrast, in England, the number of adolescents with sexually transmitted diseases has increased dramatically since they started giving "free" morning-after pills to minors. Dr. Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow of CWA's Beverly LaHaye Institute, has more. Listen | Download — http://www.cwfa.org/content.asp?id=20470

Good News on Teens and Sex
This week the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released a report showing a 3

7% decrease in teen birth rates. Along with the reduction in teen birth rates, Dr. Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow and Director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, says the really encouraging news is that there is also a decrease in abortion rates, with other studies showing that today's teens are choosing abstinence. School-Based "Clinics" Funding Boost
NOTE: School-Based "Clinics" have long been recognized — either directly or indirectly — as portals to draw students into sexual activity (providing birth control and condoms) and abortion (helping students to acquire abortions without parental knowledge).

$95 MILLION AWARDED TO SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS NATION-WIDE Health Resource and Services Administration Announces Grant Winners for School-Based Health Centers Capital Program
(Washington, DC) Today the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded $95 million in competitive federal grants to school-based health centers (SBHCs) to 278 programs across the country. These programs will improve access to basic primary health care for school-aged children, many of whom have no other sources of care. The School-Based Health Centers Capital (SBHCC) Program (HRSA-11-127) is the first-ever source of federal funding to uniquely support school-based health centers.

The SBHCC program awards funds made available under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (section 4101(a)) to support expanded capacity of SBHCs and increase the availability, efficiency, and quality of care for children and adolescents. The funds are available for construction, renovation, and equipment needs.

A press release from the Department of Health and Human Services stated:
“The awardees are currently serving approximately 790,000 patients. Today’s awards will enable them to increase their capacity by over 50-percent, serving an additional 440,000 patients. School-based health centers improve the overall health and wellness of all children through health screenings, health promotion and disease prevention activities and enable children with acute or chronic illnesses to attend school. A full list of grantees is available at www.hhs.gov/news/press/2011pres/07/20110714grantee.html.”

School-based health centers are a cost-effective investment, proven to reduce inappropriate emergency room use, increase use of primary care, and reduce hospitalization rates, particularly for hard-to-reach populations. Despite this, the House voted to defund the next round of competitive grants for the SBHCC by passing H.R. 1214 on May 4. The legislation has not yet been taken up in the Senate.

“More than 350 applicants from around the nation applied for this much-needed federal funding, which will allow SBHCs to switch over to electronic medical records, purchase dental equipment to provide oral health services, help build new clinics or expand or improve existing space, and more,” stated Linda Juszczak, Executive Director of the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (NASBHC). “These projects benefit whole communities by creating construction and renovation jobs. We hope members of Congress who question the value of the program will tour the SBHCs in their communities to see the importance of these grants for children and their families.”

278 projects across the country received funding. Some examples include:

 HEALS in Alabama will build two new SBHCs. The funding will also provide an Electronic Health Records system to link the network of clinics, and increase efficiency and quality of patient care. It will update medical and office equipment and bring the clinics up to current quality standards. The grant will also provide appropriate and current computer hardware and other electronics to allow efficient operation of the EHR system and the upgraded medical equipment.
 Neighborcare Health in Washington State will build a new SBHC, replace outdated equipment at current sites, as well as introduce new portable dental equipment for use at multiple SBHC sites.
 The Dorchester County Health Department in Maryland will construct a new modular building for the SBHC located at North Dorchester High School (NDHS), complete with video-conferencing equipment to obtain off-site psychiatry services for students needing medication management for mental health disorders.

More than 1,900 SBHCs across the country provide access for nearly 2 million students to a range of primary, mental, and oral health care services. These services are provided without concern for students’ ability to pay and in a location that meets students where they spend a majority of their day: at school.

SBHCs are located in geographically diverse communities, with the majority (57%) in urban communities and more than one-quarter (27%) in rural areas.

Students in schools with SBHCs are predominantly members of minority and ethnic populations who have historically experienced under-insurance, uninsurance, or other health care access inequities.
