Governor Rochas Okorocha and the Imo State Assembly have passed and signed Abortion as Imo State Law No 12 legalizing abortion through all 9 months of pregnancy.
See on Page A38 Section 40(h) (i) abortion when pregnancy endangers… “Physical, Mental, Psychological or Emotional Health of the mother” abortion is now legal for all conditions.
This section was not passed in the National Assembly but now passed and assented to in the Imo State.
Imo State is the only State in Nigeria which passed abortion and same-sex ‘marriage’ in the Imo State Law No. 7 signed by Gov. Achike Udenwa in 2007.
