On 1June, a hospital named after Mor Kaposi (famous Hungarian doctor who described the Kaposi-Syndrome) joined the pro-life movement initiated by Alpha Alliance.

Dr. Tibor F. Prievara, leader of the ob-gyn dept of the hospital, with the main midwife & the director-in-chief, announced at the 13th pro-life pilgrimage that they would not perform either chemical or surgical abortions on the new national holidays.

These days are March 25th (Day of the Unborn Child), June 1st (UN International Day of Life) and December 28th (Day of Holy Innocents).

After this, the pro-lifers gave roses decorated with ribbons of national colors to the representatives of the hospital. Later Drs. Prievara & Teglasy [dir, God’s Precious Infants, Hungary] had a common press-conference in the hospital. All of them confirmed that they were ready for a strong cooperation in order to offer all kind of support for those parents who are in crisis situations in order to help them avoid abortion.

There are now 13 hospitals celebrating abortion-free days in Hungary, 10% of the total number of hospitals/clinics that together with the Hungarian pro-lifers want to build a fertile and caring society in Hungary.  Alpha Alliance for the Protection of Unborn and New-Born Babies, Children & Families was founded by nurses, doctors, teachers, journalists, psychologists in Hungary in 1996. Alpha Alliance is affiliated with Human Life Int’l, Heartbeat Int’l, & Abstinence Clrnghse. Website with English: www.alfaszovetseg.hu  [2Jun04, Pro-Life E-News]
