Bill Gates: Use Vaccines To Lower Population

Microsoft founder Bill Gates told a recent TED conference, an organization which is sponsored by one of the largest toxic waste polluters on the planet, that vaccines need to be used to reduce world population figures in order to solve global warming and lower CO2 emissions.

Stating that the global population was heading towards 9 billion, Gates said, “If we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services (abortion), we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 per cent.”

Quite how an improvement in health care and vaccines that supposedly save lives would lead to a lowering in global population is an oxymoron, unless Gates is referring to vaccines that sterilize people, which is precisely the same method advocated in White House science advisor John P. Holdren’s 1977 textbook Ecoscience, which calls for a dictatorial “planetary regime” to enforce draconian measures of population reduction via all manner of oppressive techniques, including sterilization.

“I’m not sure what the nothing-to-see-here explanation is for Bill Gates’ theory that “new vaccines” can help lower the population of the world,” points out the Cryptogon blog, “But I thought about the incidents from the 1990s where the World Health Organization was providing a “tetanus vaccine” to poor girls and women (and just poor girls and women) that contained human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG). For those who don’t want to delve into that, in short, it was a World Health Organization experiment; a test of a vaccine against pregnancy.”

After presenting an equation that included the number of people on the planet and CO2 emissions, Gates said, “Probably one of these numbers is going to get pretty near to zero.”

Later in the presentation, Gates mentions picking a vaccine, “which is something I love,” that would be used to lower global CO2 emissions.
He also advocates pouring more money into the global warming scam by way of the United Nations, as well as a “CO2 tax” and cap and trade, while making it clear that the developed world would have to reduce its living standards by cutting back on essential services that generate CO2.

Gates said that a 20 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions was necessary by 2020, a 50 per cent reduction by 2050, and ultimately that there had to be zero CO2 emissions globally, a measure that would completely reverse hundreds of years of technological progress and return man to the agrarian age, all in the name of preventing an alleged miniscule temperature increase that has been proven to be based on fraudulent data models in light of the Climategate scandal.

One of Gates’ proposals for reducing CO2 emissions is the use of biofuels, which as a new report highlights, has resulted in millions of acres of forests being destroyed, which ultimately means a net increase in CO2 emissions from biofuels when compared to fossil fuels, not to mention the massive devastation caused to wildlife.

As we have documented, a CO2 reduction of 50-80 per cent, not to mention 100 per cent, would inflict a new great depression in the United States, reducing GDP by 6.9 percent – a figure comparable with the economic meltdown of 1929 and 1930.

onally, the “post-industrial revolution” being proposed by Gates and his ilk would lead to massive job losses.

The implementation of so-called “green jobs” in other countries has devastated economies and cost millions of jobs. As the Seattle Times reported back in June, Spain’s staggering unemployment rate of over 18 per cent was partly down to massive job losses as a result of attempts to replace existing industry with wind farms and other forms of alternative energy.

In a so-called “green economy,” “Each new job entails the loss of 2.2 other jobs that are either lost or not created in other industries because of the political allocation — sub-optimum in terms of economic efficiency — of capital,” states the report.

The fact that Gates would be so open in his call to use vaccines to lower global population (without a word as to the human rights considerations), probably has a lot to do with the audience attending his speech.

The TED organization admits that it is elitist, “in a good way,” and charges a whopping $6,000 dollars membership fee which must be paid by conference attendees. TED also charges nearly $1,000 just for its live conference web stream. The organization’s sponsors include IBM and military-industrial complex kingpin General Electric, which has a notorious history of environmental misdeeds, being ranked fourth-largest corporate producer of air pollution in the United States, with more than 4.4 million pounds per year (2,000 Tonnes) of toxic chemicals released into the air. GE is also a major contributor to the toxic waste problem, rendering its sponsorship of an organization that claims to be seeking solutions to environmental problems completely hypocritical. U.S. Young Adults More Pro-Life: Gallup
The percentage of young adults in the U.S. favouring legalized abortion has undergone a significant drop, falling below all other age groups except seniors, according to a Gallup poll released Friday.

The poll results also indicate that young adults are now the group most likely (23%) to favor making abortion illegal in all circumstances.

Michael Barnett, director of American Life League’s LiveCampus project, said the poll backs anecdotal evidence gathered on college campuses nationwide.

“Abortion doesn’t make sense to a generation that wants social justice for all human beings," said Barnett. "It doesn’t take a Gallup poll to see that decades of decriminalized abortion have left an undeniable void in the lives of millennials – brothers, sisters and future classmates whose rights were denied even in the womb.”

LiveCampus is a program designed to train and activate pro-life leaders on the nation’s top campuses while developing resources for pregnant and parenting students, closing local abortion mills and creating counseling programs for post-abortive women.

“What we’re seeing is a generation that views attacks on human beings’ lives – such as abortion – as human rights abuses,” noted Barnett. "As that generation gap widens, legislators hoping to attract the youth vote and pass ‘health care reform’ are going to have to come to grips with that.” [12March2010, Kathleen Gilbert, Priniceton, NJ,]

Campaign Launched
The campaign has been launched to expose the reality of the so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) which, if passed, would force every public school in America to hire transgendered teachers and forbid the re-assignment of children from the classroom.

The campaign includes an online petition to Congress opposing ENDA.

TVC has launched the campaign, to warn parents about the chaos ENDA will bring into our children’s classroom. [12March2010, TVC]

Scientific Critique of CEDAW

Critique of CEDAW Articles 1, 2, 3, 7, 11, 12, 14, 16: CEDAW definition of discrimination as sameness of men and women, is based on human rights argument that is not founded on natural law backed by scientifically evidence.

“Discrimination against women shall mean any distinction…” The issue here is the lack of any distinction that suggests sameness of men and women. Natural law evidenced by current scientific research [1-4] suggests that men and women are not neurobiologically the same, but are mutually complimentary in their neurocognitive roles. For example, human creative endeavour is based on general intelligence which is located in the right brain hemisphere in men but left brain hemisphere in women [1-3]. The right hemisphere processes information holistically and strategically, while the left hemisphere processes tactically and analytically [5], and the outcome is clearly dependent on the nature of the task undertaken. Therefore, the sameness principle on which CEDAW discrimination definition is based is flawed. The differences between men and women extend beyond the sphere of general intelligence [1]. The brain of men and women processes facial images
differently, with men processing in the right hemisphere and women in the left hemisphere [4,6]. Furthermore, emotional intelligence has been shown to differ in men and women [7]. The difference in neurobiology of men and women, demonstrates that there is the principle of complimentarity, rather than the principle of sameness of men and women. Thus discrimination of roles could apply in relation to natural roles of men and women in areas of culture (Article 3), political life (Article 7) and employment (Article 11). The issue of application of discrimination on the basis of natural roles is applied in a contradictory manner in CEDAW Article 12.2, for example, if men and women share equal responsibility for the raising of children, then the law could equally mandate men to take maternity leave. This is not the case because natural roles of men and women differ and is the basis for discrimination under law. Furthermore, in Article 12.1, discrimination
applies to the entitlement of women to health services including family planning to the exclusion of men. The fact that family planning involves the use of contraceptives and abortificients for which the woman is entitled to make a decision to the exclusion of the man in a marital union or extramarital relationship, means that, on the central decision of Life of their offspring, the woman is mandated by Article 12 to have an upper hand, in making the decision on human life of their child in the family, contradicting the foundation of non-discrimination of CEDAW.

The present study evaluated cerebral lateralization during Ravens progressive matrices (RPM) paradigm in female and male subjects.
Bilateral simultaneous transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound was used to measure mean blood flow velocities (MBFV) in the
right and left middle cerebral arteries (MCAs) in 24 (15 females and 9 males) right-handed normal subjects. The female subjects used
a left hemisphere strategy, while males used a right hemisphere strategy to successfully solve RPM tasks. This implies that general
intelligence is associated with neural systems within one hemisphere that are accessible to a variety of cognitive processes.

Latest 40 Days for Life Pro-Life Campaign Kicked off Wednesday in 165 Cities
The latest 40 Days for Life pro-life campaign began 17Feb2010 with pro-life advocates reaching out to their local communities.

The pro-life campaign kicked off in 165 cities across the United States and also cities and towns in Canada, Australia, and Northern Ireland.

David Bereit, the national director of the 40 Days for Life campaign is encouraging pro-life advocates to participate in a national video feed from a live rally on Tuesday evening.

"We are going to hold a national 40 Days for Life kickoff event that will be live-video-streamed on the Internet," he told today.

"We have a video crew joining Shawn Carney (40 Days for Life campaign director), Abby Johnson (former Planned Parenthood abortion facility director who experienced a conversion during last fall's 40 Days for Life), and me at a live event in Jackson, Mississippi and they'll be streaming the whole event online," he said.

The 40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program of prayer, presence outside local abortion centers, and community outreach. [16Feb10,, Washington, DC]

South Korean Pro-Life Physicians' Plight
It is important to be aware of what our pro-life physician colleagues in other countries are going through for their conscience convictions. (We may be under similar pressures in the future.) Here is a Korean doctor's view of the current situation in South Korea. It will startle you. (Wikepedia says Korea is 30% Christian, about half/half Roman Catholic and Protestant.)

Excerpted from his letter:
"I am a member of Korean pro-life group ( ).
The Korean pro-life group was formed about a year ago and it is now struggling with many difficulties. Korea has had an anti-abortion law for many decades but no one has followed it. Doctors have earned a lot of money by performing abortions. Pregnant women have received abortions very easily. So they have not needed to pay attention to contraception. Government-run health care system has enjoyed this system as it does not have to pay for ob/gyn services appropriately by having people pay doctors out of their pockets for abortions. As a result of these, Korea has become a country that has the highest abortion rate of the world. For pro-life doctors, it is very hard to maintain their businesses because of no income from abortion. But young doctors decided to rise, fight and they are now taking blows. They asked government to raise health care payment but there was no response. The group was neglected. Recently they decided to shake the system by reporting doctors who did abortion practice against the law. It echoed across the country immediately. Feared doctors hesitated to perform abortion to avoid punishment and many pregnant women shouted out for getting abortions. The women groups are complaining against pro-life docs. They said pro-life docs should have made plans before they started anti-abortion movement. The majority of ob/gyn docs are accusing pro-life docs of selfishness. Government officials are going to observe until the hot debate come up with a solution. As a matter of fact, this situation has been expected even before. Pro-life group gave government one year of time, which was enough, to make plans ahead to avoid the chaos. however, it has not done any actions. We are so much depressed for the recent weeks. We have been tired. Please pray for us."

AAPLOG note: South Korea is not alone. The world governmental systems (UN, EU, old Soviet bloc, China, etc) push free access to abortion, both as quasi-birth control (i.e., for unwanted pregnancies) and as a preventive solution for high maternal mortality rates. We really need to stand for Hippocratic values before we become a vanishing minority (see and sign up!)

Pro-Life Leaders Sign Mount Vernon Statement Expressing Conservative Values
A gathering of pro-life leaders made the Mount Vernon Statement official today as they signed a new policy document setting forth conservative values — including protecting the right to life. As reported yesterday, the signers read like a who's who of the pro-life movement.

The document mentions the right to life in saying, ""The conservatism of the Declaration asserts self-evident truths based on the laws of nature and nature's God. It defends life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Senator Jim DeMint, one of the top pro-life lawmakers in the Senate, signed on to the document today as well.

“I fully support the Mount Vernon Statement as a vital recommitment to our Constitution and the liberty it was written to protect. If our leaders cannot agree to these fundamental American principles, they are part of the problem and should be replaced," he said in a statement sent to

He said "our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to limit our federal government's ability to interfere with our lives. Unfortunately, many of our elected leaders have forgotten this." [18Feb10, #4829, Washington, DC (]

Obama Budget Rewards Law-Breaking Planned Parenthood Abortion Centers
The head of a national pro-life group says there is a lesson to be learned from the Alabama health dep

artment's placing a Planned Parenthood abortion center on a one year probation. However, President Barack Obama doesn't appear to have learned that lessen because he wants more funding for Planned Parenthood.

As has reported, the Alabama health department responded to an undercover video showing a Birmingham Planned Parenthood staffer covering up a potential sexual abuse case and ignoring the state's parental consent on abortion law.

Alabama officials reviewed the evidence, conducted their own probe — which found numerous violations of both the consent and the statutory rape reporting law — and they slapped the Birmingham clinic with a year-long probation.

Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, tells that this isn't the first time Planned Parenthood has been under fire for breaking the law. But, he points out that the Obama administration's response is to give the abortion business more government money.

"Unfortunately, these same crimes have been committed by Planned Parenthood clinics all across the country–and yet the federal government's only response has been to reward the corruption with more money," Perkins says.  [20Feb10, DC,]

More Reports Confirm Obama Admin Preparing for Supreme Court Opening
More reports are confirming the Obama administration is preparing for a potential Supreme Court vacancy in the next few months. Reports surfaced weeks ago that pro-abortion Justice John Paul Stevens was considering retiring and today, CNN said more recent reports indicate that as well.

CNN indicates the White house has begun "quiet preparations" for a high court vacant but cautions that top Obama officials have not named any names of potential Supreme Court retirements.

The latest session of the Supreme Court ends in June and the most likely scenario is that one of the justices would announce a retirement this Spring or Summer so a newly-confirmed replacement can join the court when its next term begins in October.

The machinations on the Supreme Court are of monumental importance to the pro-life community because of the wide-ranging effect the court has to abortion and pro-life issues.

The high court paved the way for 52 million abortions with the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions that still stand and still, despite modifications, allow virtually unlimited abortions.  [20Feb10,, DC]

Exclusive: Shipments of Medical Aid to Haiti Delayed by Massive Condom Overload
The flow of medical supplies waiting to be distributed to tens of thousands of earthquake victims in Haiti was delayed for weeks by a massive supply of condoms dominating the space of the main storage facility there, an eyewitness with insider information has told (LSN).

The central pharmaceutical supply center, known as PROMESS (Program on Essential Medicine and Supplies), is home to the operations of the World Health Organization (WHO)/Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in the area. "Without PROMESS we would have had a second catastrophe," Dr. Alex Larsen, Haitian Minister of Health, said at the PROMESS warehouse recently.

However, the glut of condoms at that same warehouse delayed the massive influx of aid pouring in from around the world, according to an inside source, and may have cost lives. The source reported that shipping containers of medical supplies were unable to be unloaded, sorted and distributed since an enormous supply of condoms clogged the facility till early February, when the condoms could be removed.  The condoms were estimated to take up about 70% of the space in the 17,000 sq. ft. warehouse.

The supplies pouring into the region are enormous.  Reliefweb reports that “from 16-21 January alone, 483,091 kg of pharmaceutical supplies and 4,990 kg of non-pharmaceutical health supplies, like rubber gloves and masks, arrived at Port-au-Prince airport.”

Nicholas Reader of the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said he was "not aware" of the problem, and directed LSN to the World Health Organization for more information.  Paul Garwood, the communications officer for emergencies and humanitarian affairs at the World Health Organization, also said he was unaware of the issue.  Garwood forwarded the request to colleagues in Haiti, who have not responded as of press time.

While WHO officials are not speaking specifically about the condom clog, they have in more general terms admitted logistical hardships in dealing with the influx of supplies.

"Trying to both respond to the massive health needs in Haiti following the quake and organize the large volume of supplies entering the country has been a great challenge," according to WHO/PAHO representative in Haiti, Dr Henriette Chamouillet.

The scenario of medical supply buildings in the developing world taken up mostly by condoms and severely lacking in health care supplies is not new.

When Canadian General Romeo Dallaire returned from Rwanda in the aftermath of the Rwandan Massacre he noted in a 1996 speech that military personnel referred to UN and other foreign aid as "covering the country with rubber."

Dallaire explained that tons of condoms and other contraceptives were being shipped to and distributed around the region in quantities far beyond what the population could use and in place of much more needed food, medicine and other critically needed aid. Medicine stores, he said, were filled with contraceptives and extremely short of any supplies to treat wounded Rwandans.

With business-savy ingenuity some in the developing world have turned the condom dumping by the West to their advantage.  The BBC reported in 2004 that in one Indian city alone 600,000 condoms a day were used in the sari-weaving industry.  Sari weavers use the lubrication in the condoms to soften the loom's shuttle making weaving faster, without risking stains to the silk.

The United Nations strategy of massive promotion of condoms as the primary solution to the AIDS crisis is reflected even in recent reports, with no sign of letting up.

For cultures which value life, and family, the condom push into their cultures is highly offensive.  Carol Ugochukwu, President of United Families of Africa in Enugu, Nigeria, commented in a 2000 interview noting that Western delegations at the United Nations were trying to "exterminate the whole race" with their promotion of condoms.

Ugochukwu expressed exasperation that Canada, the US and Europe wasted most of the time at UN conferences trying to gain approval for homosexuality while the needs of African women such as food, shelter, and clean drinking water were largely ignored.  "[B]ig organizations," she said, "spend so much money, but when they find out you are dealing with all that [dying children and mothers] they are not interested. You have to say you are dealing with reproductive rights before you are given support."

Ugochukwu concluded, "[Westerners] now come in with condoms – condoms are everywhere! They spend so much money on condoms and they make our children promiscuous. They say it will stop AIDS – but it is getting worse! It makes no sense to me." [12Feb10, John-Henry Westen, Kathleen Gilbert, PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti,]

Followup Poll Finds Pro-Life Tim Tebow Super Bowl Ad Connected With Viewers
A followup poll co

nducted by Barna Group, a Christian research firm, finds the pro-life ad featuring Tim Tebow and his mother Pam connected with Super Bowl viewers. The study finds most people understood the pro-life message behind the ads and millions eventually went to the Focus on the Family web site.

Barna conducted a national telephone poll with 1,001 adults from February 7 through February 10, including interviews on the evening the Super Bowl ad aired.

Among those who viewed the football contest, 43% said they had seen the Tebow commercial and 9 percent were able to recall the spot without prompting. With the high level of viewership of the Super Bowl, (a record 106 million Americans watched it) that means 27% of all Americans, excluding those who may have watched the commercial online after the game, watched the pro-life commercial.

"The Focus-Tebow commercial generated consistent levels of viewership across a variety of demographic segments, reflecting the broad appeal of the Super Bowl," Barna reported.

Revealing the potential impact of the ad, 25 percent of all Americans who say abortion should be legal in all or most cases viewed the commercial. Some 30 percent of pro-life Americans who think all or most abortions should be illegal also watched the ad.

The polling found that the pro-life commercial made a huge impact on the nation as 62 percent of Super Bowl watchers said they were aware of the ad, and the story of Pam Tebow's decision not to have an abortion, before the game.

A majority of ad viewers also understood the message of the ad with 38 percent of watchers saying it was meant to oppose abortion and 19 percent saying it was celebrating family. Another 9 percent said the ad reminded viewers that miracles happen, and 2 percent said the ad was meant to support Focus on the Family.

In total, 68 percent of ad viewers understood the ad's message or came up with a related theme that fit in with the point of the Tebow commercial.

Also, half of those polled who watched the ad correctly said it was intended to influence their views on abortion.

The ad appeared to have a significant impact with 4 percent of those viewing saying it caused them to reconsider their opinions on abortion.

The Barna poll also found Americans strongly supportive of the pro-life ad with 78 percent saying they felt the commercial presented a positive message to viewers and 75 percent saying the commercial was appropriate to show during the Super Bowl.

Just 8 percent of those polled claimed that the commercial was offensive. That shows Americans did not buy into the mantra from pro-abortion groups that CBS should not have run the pro-life ad.

Barna's poll indicated some groups recalled the ad better than others.

Men (34 percent) recalled the ad more so than women (20 percent), blacks (28 percent) recalled it more than white Americans (18 percent), affluent watchers recalled it (41 percent) more so than lower-income viewers (22 percent), and Republicans (36 percent) remembered the ad more than Democrats (24 percent).

Report: As Independent Abortion Centers Close, Planned Parenthood Biz Expands
A new report from a pro-life group that tracks the number of abortion centers nationwide finds that while independent abortion facilities are closing, Planned Parenthood is expanding its business. Operation Rescue says that's because the abortion giant receives large amounts of taxpayer funding.

The pro-life group released a report in December listing every abortion center in the United States, and a tally of 713.

The number dropped by five since then with the closing of abortion businesses in places like Ohio and Michigan. But that figure is adjusted upwards by two because of the opening of new massive abortion centers by Planned Parenthood in Houston and Portland — which brings the overall total to 710.

"It is very clear that the only abortion group expanding its business is Planned Parenthood, and the only reason it can do so is with the help of our tax dollars," OR president Troy Newman told today.

"This news emphasizes the need to de-fund Planned Parenthood nationwide. Without being artificially supported with our tax dollars, Planned Parenthood would be closing clinics, not building new ones," said Newman.

Newman says he expects the new Planned Parenthood centers to continue pushing smaller, independent abortion facilities out of business.

"Because demand for abortions has decreased, it is more than likely that" will happen, he says.

Although federal and state governments lavish Planned Parenthood with taxpayer support, Newman says the general public does not.

"These clinics enjoy little support in their respective communities. When the Houston clinic opened last month, it was to a massive protest of several thousand of pro-lifers. Also last month, over 3,000 pro-life supporters gathered in the rain to protest at the new Portland office and were countered by a mere 125 abortion supporters," he noted.

The 2010 elections provide the pro-life movement with a prime opportunity to de-fund Planned Parenthood if abortion advocates can be defeated and replaced with pro-life lawmakers who will support a bill put forward by pro-life Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana to cut the $336.7 million dollars the abortion giant receives annually.

Newman also says more abortion centers will close like the Planned Parenthood in Birmingham, Alabama that was placed on probation for a year for hiding cases of statutory rape and urging teens to violate the parental consent law.

"It is despicable that, at a time economic instability when 71% of the American people oppose tax-funding of abortion, that millions and millions in public funds are going to bolster the bottom line of abortionists, many of which are violating the law," said Newman.

"Once Planned Parenthood is stripped of its tax funding, we will see their abortion clinics close down like a row of falling dominoes. That is a short-term goal for the pro-life movement that is completely doable and will save countless lives," he explained. [February 15, 2010, ; DC ]

New Publicity Campaign Labeling Black Children an "Endangered Species" Gets Mixed Reaction
The message on dozens of billboards across Atlanta is provocative: Black children are an "endangered species."

The eyebrow-raising ads featuring a young black child are an effort by the anti-abortion movement to use race to rally support within the black community.

The reaction from black leaders has been mixed, but the "Too Many Aborted" campaign, which so far is unique to only Georgia, is drawing support from other anti-abortion groups across the country.

"It's ingenious," said the Rev. Johnny Hunter, national director of the Life Education and Resource Network, a North Carolina-based anti-abortion group aimed at African-Americans that operates in 27 states. "This campaign is in your face, and nobody can ignore it."

The billboards went up last week in Atlanta and urge black women to "get outraged."

The effort is sponsored by Georgia Right to Life, which also is pushing legislation that aims to ban abortions based on race. [AP,

Tim Tebow, Pro-life and What Young Women Want

The excitement surrounding CBS' decision to run a pro-life ad featuring star college quarterback Tim Tebow and his mother during Sunday's Super Bowl is the latest in a series of signs that the pro-life movement is in and the abortion rights movement is on its way out.

As 2009 polls by Gallup, Pew Research Center, Rasmussen Reports and Fox News all have confirmed, a majority of Americans now consider themselves to be pro-life. The entertainment industry is paying attention, as evidenced by the 2009 pro-life episode of Law & Order, a chart-climbing pro-life country music song, and a popular pro-life American Idol contestant.

And now Tebow, the nation's most popular college football player, is joining the list of pro-life celebrity advocates. What's happening?

Pam Tebow might have the answer. On Feb. 7, tens of millions of Americans will hear a 30-second version of the love story of a mother risking her own life against doctors' recommendations so that her son might live. Pam's story speaks to love, courage, selflessness and the dignity of the human person. It is every mother's story, to a greater or lesser degree, and for young women like me, it's what true femininity is about.

By contrast, the feminist, pro-abortion movement has spent the past 50 years selling a philosophy that is simply unappealing to today's young women. Abortion rights leaders such as Frances Kissling and Kate Michelman just don't get it.

Feminist leaders would have us "Make the 'choice' that's right for you," but that sort of me-first mentality merely produced a generation of self-absorbed, Xanax-popping corporate climbers.

"You not only can, but should do everything men can do and more," we were told growing up. But the result is a generation of exhausted Super Women struggling to do it all and losing themselves in the process.

As Kissling and Michelman stated in their recent commentary in [] The Washington Post,  "abortion is as tough and courageous a decision as is the decision to continue a pregnancy." Women my age have seen too many woman make that "courageous" abortion decision and suffer the emotional, physical and spiritual anguish.

So what do young women want? Human rights for all human beings for starters.

Today's young women are rejecting the selfishness of the feminist "me-first" paradigm and embracing the "other." We are embracing a rational, compassionate and selfless call for civil rights — not just for me, not just for woman, but for every human being. Until all human beings — including those in the womb — are recognized as persons under law, any effort for true justice will be undermined. Young women want human personhood and they want it now.

The feminist philosophy young women have been force-fed by the media, by pop culture and by our education system for 50 years has failed in one critical way. It has not and could not dispel the searing images of the 20th century from our brains. It could not convince us that a me-first approach to life was somehow going to safeguard us from another Holocaust, from more racism, more lynchings, more genocide. It could not and will not be able to marry selfishness and love.

We've seen so much pain and suffering, and we yearn for justice. We've seen the pain, death and hatred bred by "make the choice that's right for you," and so we are drawn to the example of Pam Tebow, who 22 years ago in the Philippines chose selflessness, love and justice.

That's what we want.

Football stars talk about abortion in 1989 video

More than two decades before Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow filmed a Super Bowl ad about his mother's decision to continue a risky pregnancy, other football greats went in front of the cameras for a cause they believed in. In this 1989 video "Champions For Life," created for the antiabortion American Life League, members of the 1987 Super Bowl champion New York Giants–including Phil Simms and Mark Bavaro–offer their views on abortion.

ED. NOTE: Pro-abortion groups have already gathered and presented to CBS over 120,000 signatures protesting the Tim Tebow ad scheduled to be aired during the Super Bowl.

It is important, therefore, for pro-life people to send a strong message to CBS and NFL executives, in SUPPORT of this ad.  Please help spread awareness of this petition via email and social networking sites:

Please read and sign this very important document which unites people of good will in affirming three fundamental truths:
the sanctity of human life;
the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife;
the rights of conscience and religious liberty…

The Hippocratic Oath, a vow traditionally taken by physicians concerning the ethical practice of medicine.

It is widely believed the oath was written by Hippocrates, the father of medicine (see picture), in the 4th century BC. Shaped by changing societal attitudes (e.g. abortion, euthanasia) the oath has changed over the years. What follows is thean excerpt from the original oath and one used by the University of Toronto.

I swear by Apollo Physician and Asclepius and Hygieia and Panaceia and all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfil according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant:

I will apply dietetic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice. I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody who asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy.

In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art. I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favour of such men as are engaged in this work.

Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remai

ning free of all intentional injustice, of all mischief and in particular of sexual relations with both female and male persons, be they free or slaves.

What I may see or hear in the course of the treatment or even outside of the treatment in regard to the life of men, which on no account one must spread abroad, I will keep to myself, holding such things shameful to be spoken about.

If I fulfill this oath and do not violate it, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and art, being honoured with fame among all men for all time to come; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may the opposite of all this be my lot.
