A study from several years ago dealt with Substance Abuse Among Post-Pregnant Women.

Among women who delivered their babies alive (did not abort), 3.8% experienced substance abuse, while 14.6% of the women who aborted their first pregnancy children experienced substance abuse.

Calculating 1.6 million abortions per year, the difference between 14.6% and 3.8% represents a projection that 54,000 women per year may begin abusing drugs/alcohol as a means of dealing with post-abortion stress syndrome (PASS).
