Swedish doctors are much more skeptical about euthanasia than many of their colleagues around the world, according to a new study.

84% of Swedish doctors say they would never consider helping a patient die, even if the patient asked for it and it was legal. 54% of Dutch doctors say that they have helped someone die. Euthanasia is legal in the Netherlands.

16,000 doctors from 7 countries took part in the survey and Swedish doctors together with their Italian counterparts were the most skeptical.
