Former Topless Femen Protester Testifies Against Abortion before Brazilian Congress

Sara Fernanda Giromini, a former feminist who once bared her breasts in public to protest against Christian sexual morality, testified recently in the Brazilian National Congress on the devastation she suffered as a result of an abortion she procured during her years as a radical leftist. Giromini, who is famous for having founded Brazil’s Femen branch under the alias “Sara Winter,” and who later led a group called “Bastardx,” made headlines late last year when she apologized to Christians and announced her rejection of feminism, homosexuality, and abortion. “You don’t have any idea of what it’s like to live with this guilt, and the incentive that the feminist movement creates to facilitate this kind of crime is very great,” Giromini told the Brazilian Senate’s Human Rights Committee.
